Villas-Boas, who has been out of work since losing the Chelsea job in March, fits the criteria of the Liverpool owners as they target a young coach who can remain in the job long-term. Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, 38, also remains in the frame for the post.

No i mean't the quote. The writer didn't provide a single quote of him saying anything about Liverpool.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may yet be able to change Capello’s mind but the 65-year-old Italian, who enjoyed huge success as a club manager with AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid, is showing interest in the vacancy at Liverpool instead.

To be honest the Liverpool job in my opinion is still a very attractive one because it is the most challenging right now in Europe. The one who can bring glory back to the club will be the true special one. Pretty sure the best of the best would relish that challenge!

Yes i read that Burn, but that's the writer insinuation and not Capello's words. If he said "I'm not going to Chelsea but Liverpool interests me" then that's credible. It comes from the horse's mouth so to speak.

Yeah someone is leaking all this info and i'm not sure who and why. The club has never confirmed nor deny it has 12 names on the list. Yet all these reports seem to be convinced one way or the other.

Maybe it's all pre planned. Maybe they have already identified a target - and maybe that target is not exactly popular among the media and fans. But when they do eventually sign the fella, they will say that they tried to talk to 12 people but everyone has rejected Liverpool and so we can't blame them for their choice.

They are in no wise responsible for leaking. We don't want that. just let them do their job.  Let them have media silence. It works in our favour, the Liverpool Way of doing things.

True man.. Things started to fall apart when we sold Alonso in 2009, without a proper replacement for him. We could have challenged the Premier League properly in 2009-2010 considering how strong the team performed the season before, we just needed some improvement in squad strength, but instead we sold one of the best players in the squad.. Imagine Alonso stayed with us and we got Suarez in the team without Torres leaving.. As much as I respect Rafa as one of the best managers in our history, I just felt he built the team and dismantled it himself piece by piece somehow.. Not sure how long we Liverpool fans have to wait again to see the team challenge the title.

That one I know. It wasn't really a secret either anyway back in those years at 2008 and 2009.

Although I support Rafa like you did, I have to disagree on this part. Alonso, Torres and Reina weren't nobody. Alonso was back then the captain of Sociedad, Torres was captain of A.Madrid. Reina was one of the most promising keeper in La Liga. They are not unknown. Mascherano, albeit did not play well in West Ham, was well known in europe. Riera was Espanyol player of the season before we bought him. The list goes on... Though I must give credit to Rafa for getting them here and make the best out of them. Brilliant.

Besides, Rafa bought them cheap.
