QUOTE(jamaluddin4 @ May 15 2012, 02:51 PM) Yup, one of my friend working with Proton. He handle the production line for CFE engine and told me that last month the production of CFE engine only 2500 for Preve and Exora Bold. This shows that eitherAnd that's why the delivery time keep delay because of insufficient of CFE engine. 1) Proton misjudge public perception about their car being for lower and middle income group, hence produce 60% of IAFM variant and 40% for CFE 2) Public willing to pay RM70k plus for Proton even though there is Jap and Korean make at similar price range. Proton based this assumption on Inspira which IMHO people perceive is like a rebadge version of Lancer. 3) Marketing of Preve was successful However, minor technical issues like QC and after sales service affect a very good car. As for mktg I think not really cause don't really see must advertisement for it, maybe already cannot deliver so dare not advertise too much. Besides that DRB has just taken over the co, n they r carrying out due diligence audit in it so no major cash outflow allowed. |

QUOTE(moment900 @ May 15 2012, 03:13 PM) Agreed with ur first two point, they misjudged Mmm, true but this shows that we Malaysians and Preveians did not lose faith on Proton even after many known issues on previous models, bad QC and after sales service. As for mktg I think not really cause don't really see must advertisement for it, maybe already cannot deliver so dare not advertise too much. Besides that DRB has just taken over the co, n they r carrying out due diligence audit in it so no major cash outflow allowed. The next thing is that will we see cheaper VW or VW having a stake in Proton after DRB taking over? |

QUOTE(kiapreve @ May 15 2012, 03:09 PM) Bro, does the ecotint spec confirmed? i plan to apply another layer on it, i afraid it will void the existing tint warranty... QUOTE(Gigabit @ May 15 2012, 03:11 PM) That one so far is confirmed by our member Junn if not mistaken. As Gigabit said, it definitely will void warranty. Void warranty here means if you use it for 1 year & suddenly there's a bubble here & there, Eco-Tint won't have it repaired for u since there's another layer on it. Thus it's kinda risky.Well, agreed that ppl still can have a peek-a-boo inside, we all know that the tint that come with CFE is more on safety tint, thus emphasized on the heat projection as well as toughen the glass a bit. It was not meant to avoid ppl from being able to see into the car. On a completely unrelated issue, what are u planning to do in the car bro? I hope it's nothing naughty... Just kidding |

If they don't start to ramp up the production they will start to lose faith in those that r placing order for it
Cause I don't think customer is willing to wait for 3 to 4 mth |

QUOTE The next thing is that will we see cheaper VW or VW having a stake in Proton after DRB taking over? If VW comes in, we'll more likely see Protons becoming more expensive. According to this BT Report, VW is keen for Proton to go back to it's rebadging days. This should effectively kill off Proton's current idea of manufacturing it's own car. |

I got a tint voucher RM300 from my SA.Well, agreed that ppl still can have a peek-a-boo inside, we all know that the tint that come with CFE is more on safety tint, thus emphasized on the heat projection as well as toughen the glass a bit. Just kidding I plan to toup another layer to support 89% heats under the sun. Since it void warranty, i don't think i will apply on it. Afraid bubble come out after apply the 2nd layer. I plan to apply 1 layar to block the sun on top of the driver windscreen. Hope this will not void the warranty. |
