Want to share my experience with EON Glenmarie, did not wait for 1000km service and send over to rectify the following problem.

1) Gear Console Light not bright = Suppose to fixed but only N and R are bright

2) Bonnet released on its own = Fixed

3) Power window auto down and up = Checked and is ok

4) Engine cold start = Checked and is ok

Overall comment on service, poor Service Advisor had the cheek to say, bila ada masalah baru datang sini...feel want to fucuk the advisor but tahan sebab she is pregnant. Somemore, I think they do not know about Preve because it is so new.

Next time, i am going to COE but ask no for X1R and magna trap. Maybe they know better about the car.

About the car manual booklet, mine was printed in Jan 2012 and need to check my warranty is captured by Proton because my SA seems not to have fax the warranty info to Proton for registration

One more question, i cannot pair my Samsung Ace with car HU. Anything wrong and who to ask to troubleshoot?

On another note, did my Sierra Glow...damn long this car treatment, was in the workshop from 12 noon to 7pm. However, learn alot about car detailing from Mr Choong who himself owns a proton. He not only supervise but also the detailing as well. Saw a fellow Preveian there, think is flyguyz38. His car also got SG. Turns out, we got our car from the same dealer. But he do not have HU manual and car tint warranty.

Haih...sometimes, we early Preveians have so many things to troubleshoot...just wish that Proton could have improved the car quality before coming out....

Salam

Besides PPS, try this

http://www.sierraglow.com/

It is silica ie. glass compound and therefore lesser chance for paint to oxidize. Do note that PPS, wax are petroleum base and hence are organic and therefore higher chance for oxidation. Sierra Glow has 5 years warranty and you can send back to the workshop for touch up. For others like PPS, think you need to redo the paint every year.

As for wax, too much waxing will cause swirls and hologram marks and will remove the clear coat and reduce the already thin car paint.

Seems like Samsungs and Preve aren't playing nice. I remember someone mentioned a Samsung phone as well - couldn't link. Have you tried a BT pairing? Or sambung usb?

Tried BT pairing did not work, will try USB later. I also tried using Nokia, HU do not like Nokia as well. I think only iphone and blackberry can pair.

7 hours is a long, long, loooonggggg time man. How many cars can they do simultaneously?

They were doing 4 cars, 2 preves, 1 elantra and 1 audi a4. Then along the way, one fortek owner came to change side mirror and repolish bonnet because he tore off the rear spoiler.

Off topic, this new elantra is a big hype, you pay RM100k plus but you get 16v dohc engine? Our Preve is better, AT is so yesterday already.

this is not true.

I paired with my Galaxy Ace. MP3 Music can stream through bt without any problem.

The only problem is when making calls/receiving calls. I can hear the voice clearly unfortunately at the other side couldn't hear me clearly. Maybe the positioning of the mic. Wonder where the mic would be.
*
How do you manage to pair the Galaxy ace? My HU cannot detect my phone but my phone can detect the HU...confuse rclxub.gif

I agree with Paul on this, i love the combination of Engine+Good Turbo, Handling is superb, but Preve could be better if using regular torque converter or dual clutch.

Remove the unnecessary thing to compensate for the expensive gear box, such as :
- the autorain sensor
- the followme home light
- the auto up/down window
- the changing signal (flick the indicator)
- the remote boot
But it’s just my opinion, transmission is a big factor, but for marketing point of view this gadget is a good value added to user average customer
I have booked this car and will continue to support Preve.
*
Agree, all this are bells and whistles only, ultimately we want a car that is not sluggish and have good QC because we cannot be spending time sending car to SC to fix problems which should not have come out if the people in Tanjung Malim plant do their job properly!

Yup, one of my friend working with Proton. He handle the production line for CFE engine and told me that last month the production of CFE engine only 2500 for Preve and Exora Bold.

And that's why the delivery time keep delay because of insufficient of CFE engine.
*
This shows that either

1) Proton misjudge public perception about their car being for lower and middle income group, hence produce 60% of IAFM variant and 40% for CFE doh.gif

2) Public willing to pay RM70k plus for Proton even though there is Jap and Korean make at similar price range. Proton based this assumption on Inspira which IMHO people perceive is like a rebadge version of Lancer.

3) Marketing of Preve was successful

However, minor technical issues like QC and after sales service affect a very good car.

Agreed with ur first two point, they misjudged  ohmy.gif they never expected Msian will to pay it.

As for mktg I think not really cause don't really see must advertisement for it, maybe already cannot deliver so dare not advertise too much. Besides that DRB has just taken over the co, n they r carrying out due diligence audit in it so no major cash outflow allowed.
*
Mmm, true but this shows that we Malaysians and Preveians did not lose faith on Proton even after many known issues on previous models, bad QC and after sales service.

The next thing is that will we see cheaper VW or VW having a stake in Proton after DRB taking over?

Well for that one according to either K2002 or my1508 (Forgot who already sweat.gif), just bring the eco-tint warranty card to Eco-Tint main shop, they can have the black-coloured tint applied to your car for the windscreen one at '0' cost bro. Not sure if another layer of other tint can do for free or not.
*
Do remember that our rain sensor is so huge. If apply the black colour tint, may not be nice.

Now everything is a lie,

even the glenmarie is a lie, proton iCare say no such thing, i'm also not sure the car she brought me is what story but no such thing as the cars are recalled back.

she can't give me a chasis number, iCare called her he don't pick up phone call but pick up my calls and said will give me ans by 5.

After 5 if not yet getting my car (NO FUCUKING EXCUSES OR WHATSOEVER CAUSE IT WILL DEFINITELY NOT ACCEPTED BY ME) and i'm going to fucuking her and the whole dealer company.

will post the picture, location, phone number and everything here tonight.

tomorrow report to the media.

what an unethical business ethic codes.

now i suspect she pass my blue lagoon to those datuk or tun members then try to delay me by saying that the black is available.
*
The SA and dealer have reach the point of no return. You have no choice but to report them if your car is given to another person.

i also think bad list is enough...ppl can avoid it..should list which SA bad service
some dealer many SA,some is good then got bad also
we cant justify a dealer is bad becos of 1 of his SA bad hmm.gif
*
If the same dealer with 2 different SA, both also give crap service, then can we say that the dealer is bad? hmm.gif

QUOTE(alohaxD @ May 15 2012, 06:16 PM)
yup i know the feeling of taking ur new toys but delayed the date. but sometime, maybe there would be some deliver error, so they cant get the stock. but depend on what reason they gave u. for me as a SA also, i also quite nervous if my customer's car cant get at the time i promised, so actually for the safe period is within 2month if dun have any accident or cases between the delivery. everyone hope to provide good service also, and ofcause i know as a customer, a good service provided is a common thing.
it ok that u guys have alrdy book for the car. i can get some feedback from here also smile.gif
*
Deliver car on time is one thing, make sure all other services and procedures are done properly as well. That would be good service.

Got my whitey around 7pm. Something i notice about my car:
1. Paint chip off near right side font lamp
2. Boot very hard to close
3. Boot suddenly open when driving. Need stop roadside and close. So paiseh.
4. Sluggishness is still there, my chassis 19xx. Power only come above 1.5k rpm. Very noticeable when go uphill with speed bumps (my house).
5. A little jerking below 1k rpm.
6. When car cruising and let go throttle, got helicopter sound. Those that drive manual before will know wat i mean.
7. Gear light very dim even set brightness to max. At night can only see R and N.
8. Engine sound quite loud.
9. Fuel lid feel light and cheap
Other than these, handling was good, brake no problem, boot remote release was fine. Door weld was tidy. Will update after drive more.
*

[/quote
Congrats bro.....post some photo to share tomorrow..
*

[/quote]

1. Paint chip but got touch up (discovered during coating of SG)
2. Boot easy to close after adjustment made at SC
3. Experienced it already but fixed at SC
4. Sluggishness is there, caught in traffic jam and car hard to move, result in idiots cutting in mad.gif
5. No jerking experienced
6. Also experience this
7. Gear light although should have been fixed but still have same problem (suggest go to COE to fix because other SC may not know the problem)
8. Same here
9. Yes, cheap. My kelisa fuel lid is better and more solid

Other than that, cornering was good, grip is good. Door weld is acceptable.
