I'm getting more interested on Galaxy, and i'm going to get it this coming weekend!
I'm going to buy this phone from an AP-dealer due to i have limited budget.
So my question was this, is it ok buying an AP phone?

Thanks to ur opinions and million of thankss notworthy.gif

Depends on your needs. AP set is cheaper, but warranty might be iffy.. though personally if you don't use it heavy duty or do a lot of risky things (like flashing ROM's biggrin.gif), AP is a good choice.

I got my Note from AP shop, use for three months now no problem so far. Generally, Samsung products can say quite tahan...

I think that's pretty normal usage.

You might... want to get extra batteries or a powerbank if you use camera/video a lot.

Honestly, sometimes I prefer buying AP than original sets.

Reason being it cheaper, more colour choices such as pink, and as long as it's from a reputable distributor it's good. rclxms.gif

So just becareful with LPY kernels.. The news could be overrated or it could be just over done on how they put it.. But use it with your own discretion.. It is for a FACT that maybe 3% will get unlucky.. and the rest will be able to flash in cwm without any problems..

Out of curiosity I tested flashing lpy kernel through recovery on cyanofree ( lp5 kernel). No hardbrick except wifi not working. Just switch back to lp5 kernel. Phone working perfectly as before.

hmm..actually it depend on user either he/she need to root their device..as for me root can giv access to system file that been lock to unroot device, also can do full backup apps and system data, ability to transfer installed apps into ur sd card and install use custom rom..

this i quote from 1st page post #6
QUOTE
Rooting an Android phone opens its core functions that aren’t available when you buy it. One of the major benefits is the ability to install apps to the SD card, which saves space on the device. Rooting also enables you to install apps that required access to system files, example - Titanium Backup , Root Explorer, AdFree, Voltage Control apps, etc . Commonly use of rooting is to allow installation of alternative or custom roms which is faster and better, more features, and reduced bloatware.
