in a japanese car it is simple... step on it, it drops one or two gears then accelerates.
Seriously, I'm still not used to the 6 speed gearbox...especially when entering corners very fast, even with tiptronic, still can't get the gears right and little or less engine breaking...not like my Vios AT, no need to brake....just drop one gear...and see the rev redline while cornering.
The best and safest method with the 308T is to drop gear way before entering the corner, and sometimes need to press the brakes too

You'll not find anything regarding driving speeds below 1k km with these new engines. The reason is these new engines don't need run in periods. However it would be prudent to keep gentle reffs and low speeds till 1k km or at least till 500 km. Now that's going to be a reat test for me with my turbo babe......hehehe!
After you have completed the run-in period, the trouble is, the gearbox oledi adapt to your slow driving speed during this time, now its time to reset the gearbo. After stopping and off the engine (example after reaching the house), make sure all the lights are off, then press the accelerator pedal full for abt 10secs, then let it go....feel the difference of a 'unlearned' gearbox the next day. Thank to Kenso for this Tips

by the way, do you guys have any issue with the child proof lock needing to be activated the traditional, manual way instead of like the 308 where it is electronically actuated via a switch on the driver side arm rest?
If I'm not mistaken, the 308T can activite this using the switch only when the key is in the hole before starting the car, once the engine start it wont work....need to off the engine again and activite or disengaged. Probably it works the same way to for the 408
