i found that k9 and the android's exchange sync has some wakelocks wan, especially if your mobile data not so stable(like DiGi ) or you using some batt saving apps, then it might sync/pull fail and will wakelock there for awhile. this happens in mine la, seen it many times thru betterbatterystats

I actually dun recommend kies to backup. Backup your contacts and messages using google or external apps. Worse case if unsuccessful flash is to emm... flash again lor.

kies sometimes have problems connecting, so let's say you flash ad and you cant connect to kies already, then how? no need restore? that's why, most of us who flash custom roms dont even bother with kies

no problem if u r familiar v custom rom ...for me a person not so IT savy... it is not easy

but i still learning
