QUOTE(Lucifer96 @ Jul 9 2012, 09:18 PM) There's definitely a good mix of characters on board this time round... Only played you once that time? What I noticed when I watched the replay was you don't or don't know how to piano in to hands which makes it very hard to hit confirm into super. I think you tried to super after you got the LK>MK target combo on me but it didn't happen. The other thing that stood out was a lot of wake up gekiros lol though I don't blame you, all of them hit. So hahli, comment on my playstyle? I actually tried to ex karakusa your overhead at the end but I didn't input it fast enough haha I also generally wouldn't recommend it in ranked play. I bet you've been killed by wake up ultra before when you tried going for that lol. The amounts of time I've died to wake up ultra when I went for an oroshi to finish the opponent off. ;-; This post has been edited by hahli9: Jul 9 2012, 09:47 PM |

Played some sets with Lucifer's Gen.
What I generally noticed was absence of execution. You weren't able to convert hits into real damage. You pretty much relied on your opponent to press buttons to get damage, you'd go from c.lk > c.mp > c.hk. If I just blocked, then you wouldn't get anything. If you were close enough, sometimes you'd go for st.hp > st.mk target combo, but again that relies on your opponent to press buttons. Then sometimes there were tick throws. There was also a reliance on Gekiro to get you out of pressure. Sometimes, you just gotta block. I didn't punish the Gekiros properly but a better Makoto would go straight into Fukiage the moment he blocks a Gekiro and that's close to 400 damage right there. Also, lack of hands just removes all of Gen's poke confirms into super. So, basically, what I'd suggest is don't try to learn all the Oga shenanigans yet. Focus on hit confirms (c.lk > c.lp/s.lp > tc2 xx special or c.lk > c.lp/s.lp > c.mp/s.mp xx special) , c.mp/s.mk OS (option select) hands and some basic safe jumps and you'll see much improvement. I also notice you react to opponent jump ins sometimes with a j.mk of your own. This is not bad, but you won't be able to get anything afterwards. I would generally recommend using grounded anti airs like mantis c.hp or crane c.hk. It does more damage and you also won't give up any positional advantage. More often than not a j.mk will land you right in front of your opponent, and if you were fighting a gief then that would be very bad. |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Jul 30 2012, 08:47 PM) you guys using X box arcade stick to play or keyboard. Don't tell me you all using keyboard to play =.=....... anyway is PS3 arcade stick compatible with PC too? or just X box version? I'm using keyboard. What's up. And actually most arcade sticks are PS3/360/PC or PS3/PC or 360 only. This post has been edited by hahli9: Jul 30 2012, 09:07 PM |

QUOTE(pikacu @ Jul 31 2012, 01:33 AM) yes you can...try do this on guile : cr.mp xx FK -> FADC -> U2 or df,hk -> FK -> FADC -> U2 It's all just practice. Granted, I did bind my jump key to space bar to make it more like a hitbox. Nothing is impossible. I can't play viper on keyboard, but wolfkrone can on pad, which I would find even more impossible to play on.OR on guile trade FK with jump ins -> U2 or EX SB or with deejay, EX machine gun -> dash -> U2 at mid screen Anyway, just to see whether it's really "impossible", I went and grinded it out for a bit. At first I didn't know what was wrong but I realised you just had to hold the FADC for a while. It's all just technique and practice. You can play on any controller you want. (Is it possible to FADC U1 or is there not enough time to charge after the flash kick?) This post has been edited by hahli9: Jul 31 2012, 09:23 AM |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Jul 31 2012, 12:36 PM) can't even sign in my live profile. probably something wrong with the internet IP address etc. anyway I will try to figure it out myself. The only tournament (?) player I've personally played with is walbur (BONCHAN KILLER!). He still plays from time to time though I don't see him often on PC.well , i just want to know any top player (malaysian) still playing in pc version, because I am totally new to street fighter community here. seems like SG still hot with this game, but in malaysia the player base is getting smaller. |

QUOTE(Lucifer96 @ Aug 1 2012, 11:19 PM) How strong is evil ryu really? I mean, I haven't seen a really good one yet. What's his pros and cons? Imagine Ryu except with a bad cmk and much better combos and mixup. And linkable f.mp (overhead). And a nasty kara demon with fmk.Basically the inbetween of Ryu and Akuma lah. Can't really explain much. All his normals are the same as Ryu's except cl.st.hp and c.mk and f.mk. His tatsus are like Akumas. And he has that new kick special thing. QUOTE(Lucifer96 @ Aug 2 2012, 12:18 AM) He's not a popular character. When AE came, he and Oni came with Yun. Everyone that wanted to play a new character would have chosen Yun just because Yun was op back then. Just like Gen etc, he's not played a lot. Naruo is a good E.Ryu player. |
