it could reduce sediments and rust nominal 5 micron. Never customer complain about yellowish water after perfect steel unless underground pipe after the filter is GI pipe (will rust) hence water still yellowish even after filter

If you can install a stainless steel tank, then u can add a pump next to your tank. Most probably your condo piping is clogged as well, did u check with management if they are gonna service it in the near future?

actually is to cleanse the piping from your condo tank til your unit, that you need management to do

there are many dealers for waterco, just need to google search. I do have friends selling waterco as well

Filtration definitely good and it is a reputable brand just W300 too big n bulky also customers feedback manual backwash handle hard to twist.

Many customers bought UF (UltraFiltration) Membrane filters because the design is slim and looks much nicer compared to those big and bulky sand filters. However, they are not aware, how ugly the filter looks like after installation.

If u have choosen to purchase any outdoor water filters because of the design, i suggest you ask the seller to show u some photos how the unit looks like after installation. Here is a sample, the photo on the left is the standard design that shops are selling in malaysia

Dont think malaysia got hard water probem. Just do a quick google, and this is what i found, hope it helps

Definition of Hard Water
"Water described as "hard" means it is high in dissolved minerals, specifically calcium and magnesium. Yes our water contains calcium and magnesium but not HIGH in content til it affect soap/detergent performance. WHen u r washing with detergent and there is very little foam forming, that is when we call hard water which Malaysia do not have this problem


However, if your objective to have a water softener to remove calcium and magnesium so that we wont have water marks on our taps and cars, then forget about getting the water softener as it wont solve the problem

WATER SOFTENER
"A water softener replaces calcium and magnesium with sodium. Sodium salts still will leave water spots, but they can be readily rinsed off, unlike calcium and magnesium"

ELECTRONIC WATER CONDITIONER
"Electronic water conditioners work by using an electronic field to alter the shape and charge of the calcium particles within the water, so they are less able to stick to pipes and surfaces"
As it only alter the shape and charge, calcium is still in water, hence will still have watermark

that could be possible bcoz i dont cover perlis area, mainly KL, JOHOR, MELAKA, PENANG, KUANTAN which none of my customers complain about this issue. TQ for your info

Gen-Air casing is imported from china while perfect steel is made in malaysia with micro z media from USA and also 304 grade stainless steel

IDE is mainly in johor / perfect steel and Alphamax in KL. Actually they are manufactured by perfect steel

only the micro Z media is from USA, when we sell perfect steel, we wont say it is made in USA or USA technologu but other brands do, so they can sell it higher

Perfect steel has many models

1) Stainless steel Local Grade or China imported tank
2) Stainless steel multiport valve or Plastic Valve
3) Stainless Steel Casing or Fibre
4) Different height and diameter
5) Stainless steel filter comes with installation fittings and without

Our shop only sell two models to avoid the confusion as the model code are quite similar and what u see in my shop is what u get. A china Grade casing + PVC head is 50% cheaper than the local stainless steel casing with stainless steel valve, both models also 1042 . . . .

Both using sand as filtration media (norminal 5 micron filtration), both also SUS 304 grade stainless steel hence durable but price perfect steel is much cheaper.

Design and size, perfect steel is better also. If u r looking for even better water filtration quality, get our new multipore membrane 0.01micron filtration.

Perfect Steel is the same as Alphamax as they are from the same factory. My Perfect Steel offer is for 10" diameter and it is less than RM2k inclusive installation

if both brands using the same sand, why their 1 no need replace? We debated this also in this thread.

1) When u backwash, sand get mixed up, 5 micron filtration is not consistent and could go upto 20 micron over few years, that is why we need to change

2) Backwash cant 100% remove all the dirt that is trapped inside the filter

YES u dont have to change the sand as sand wont spoil but for optimum performance u need to replace them averagely 4 to 5 years once
