Got a question on cwm. I have flash pre rooted firmware ics German . Now left with flashing the kernels. I am new to mobile Odin . I have unzip the official ics kernel to zimage.
Now in order to flash cwm. I have to click n kernel and point to the zimage location. Is that the nay file required ? Or I need to point the pre rooted firmware at open file ? What else is needed ?

I m surprised you even ask such questions when is clearly said select kernel in my blog

Yep I did that select kernel and point to the image file. Need I select open file and point to the prerooted rom ?

Why you want to select prerooted rom goes yo show you don't even know what you are doing. No offence

u just use mobile odin=kernel=locate the zimage file=flash..no need to locate other file..

This QA sections is getting out of hand
Users please read thoroughly the guide as is written in simple English
The fact such questionscbeing ask ckearlyvshow you read without your brains n understanding
Getting ridiculous where I need to hold your hand and guide it
You read xda you only get 50% of what ihave written

This is the reason the thread is going too fast.Most of the questions keep recycling.All asking for the ICS german leak while most of them has been answered and after more than 70+ pages jump,I bet almost every scenario has been answered.

In fact,I've been following closely to this thread and all I've seen is questions that has been answered.No new knowledge to gain.Although it's good to ask if u do not understand since this is a forum and it encourages discussions and questions...but at least read a bit to get the basic idea before asking,not clicking to the last page and start typing

Not pointing to anyone,just some opinion for me who read through everything.Peace

Someone tell me how can this be not clear. Where did I mention need to select any other instruction or any rom

Launch Mobile Odin. There will be a short process to verify SuperUser access. Tap on KERNEL and select where you have earlier copy the zimage file Select flash firmware and select reset phone when flashing process is completed. Your NOTE is now rooted and have ClockworkMOd Recovery ( CWM) installed. You will see a CWM app in the menu

Btw, I think will stick to urs 1 since i'm really not familiar with Android.

sorry uncle benny, iw as reading the XDA forum and i might got it wrongly. once again my appology... i did folow your steps and i did not get CWM app on it, hence thats where the Q started.

actually it is the same but uncle guide u to downgrade the rom 1st=root=upgrade ur rom
but guide from post #6 is straight root from the latest rom..it is bcos when LC2 rom been roll out ppl keep saying that cant get root so the only choice is downgrade and force root..but then when time past some1 at XDA manage to make a rootable rom, that is ODEX-LC2..then ppl already alive back since they didt need to downgrade to root and upgrade to latest rom version...

i hope this will clear ur uncertainty doubt..

Seriously I get pissed off. If you read xda they just said flash cfroot with mobile Odin
I have taken it up to many levels higher up n I still see funny questions
Instead of trying to help new users seems I have failed

Antu you on Alba V4? Any different from German ICS?
