finally, installed the PreRooted German ICS. Here is how it went:- (Mine was non rooted ICS Official German)

1. Read throughly over Benny's site.
2. Shut Down the Pohne. Boot to stock recovery mode and select wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
3. Restart from Recovery (Took longer then expected)
4. Boot into Download Mode
5. Launch PC Odin, follow the steps as descvribe by Uncle Benny.
6. Voila ! , installation was smooth.
7. Booting Up got stuck quaterly (exactly as per Uncle's benny descrption (http://leemn.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/flashing-pre-rooted-ics-official-rom-german-build-on-galaxy-note-n7000/)
8. Follow the method, pull the battery and restart the phone.
9. Installation continues, it the bar moves to the end.
10. Samsung logo appears (a way bit longer then usual), then installation apps begins
11. Tested the keyboard (previously stuck at keyboard character NULL). Perfect !
12. Test SU and Root Check. ROOTED !

All i can say is just follow uncle's benny's method and most importanly DONT PaNIC ! some processes does takes longer, way longer.

that is pre-rooted so u already hav CWM RECOVERY..but if u want cwm icon on ur menu just flash CF-ROOT-XXLC1 that i've attach together with the file u hav downloaded..

i also using 1mbps connection..so we r in the same boat..hahaha.. 

do u install Samsung USB Phone Drivers b4 using pc odin??

Yea. No doubt he is one of the sifu with most experience. I flash my ROM from GB to stunner under his guidance also.

He is the one who guide me from 12am to the next morning 7am i guess. 

Waiting for the download is pain.

Now with Brother Antu's help to upload the file. It would be more easier for us to download. LOL

Oh. So with this ROM, i can safely update to Offical ICS thru auto update from phone? I mean when the update is available in Malaysia.

Bro Antu, do you lock your phone with PIN? Everytimes you unlock, after you key in the PIN, you must press the 'OK' button right?

How do i make it after key in the correct PIN, it will direct me the the main screen without pressing the 'OK' button?

Last time in Stunner can, the setting can be done in euphoria something. But now in GB i can't do that.

I already downloaded all the file yesterday, but din't install. Too lazy to restore all the apps.
Will flash today, just hopes it worth all the hassle.

LOL, i am right handed with small palm, and the 'OK' button is on the right side. If using 1 hand to key in the PIN and press the 'OK' button. It feels like the phone will drop anytime.

So if i set the PIN to lock my phone. I will need both hand to unlock it.

dont drop ur phone bro..if u drop it u will cry with blood tear.. 

guys why I used CMW to backup my rom... it ask me to install CMW recovery... but doesnot have any selection for Gnote... only epic 4g and S2?

yes u need to install CWM recovery to do ur nandroid backup..what rom u r using??
