if i want to upgrade my note to stock rom N7000DXLC2, can i use odin directly or still need to root first?

basically, if want to use stock malaysian rom, no need to root. just use pc odin enuf? currently on france rom.

forgot to ask. to flash the stock rom, should enter recovery mode or download mode? and what is the button combination?

my note is ap set. is it possible to send to samsung center to repair if it bricked? x kisah la kalau kena bayar pun. or they still wont accept it?

change my stock rom from france to malaysia (ap set). let say if ics for malaysian rom is available, can i update it using kies normally?
