Used it once. Not very good. The noise is quite obvious. biggrin.gif

It was ISO 6400 when I was using it in a cafe, quite dark that time and my friend only have the kitlens. It may work slightly better with prime lens for sure. biggrin.gif

Depends what's your budget for a Vari-ND. I'm using B+W 77mm XS-Pro Digital ND Vario MRC-Nano Filter, love it, no issues biggrin.gif

Less than 1k, plan to use set up ring to fit all lense. Thanks for sharing it!

Is B+W 77mm XS-Pro Digital ND Vario MRC-Nano Filter getting any color cast? Need your professional review with it.

Where to buy it as well?

Should get 82mm instead of 77mm. As lenses like canon 16-35 has a 82mm ring size. Stepping down from a 82mm to 77 may cause some vignetting.

Red Epic-W , Arri Ultra Prime 135mm , 2 arri sky panel , and olive oil in a spray bottle. Thats what I use la.

But , a DSLR with tight lens from 60 - 180mm range , a slider and some food arranging skills. And most importantly soft even light.
For soft light, bounce it against a piece of 4x4foot foam core to get a greater softer light source.
And some oil in a spray bottle and a brush.
Color contrast with the food you're serving is important too, for example a sprig of rosemary if lamb is served. Just a pop of green from the rosemary help brighten up the dish.

Hope it helps.
Cheers.

I approve of the said former setup, except for 135mm?!? How high is the camera placed vertically? hahah xD I'd be thinking around the range of 85mm xD lol

Not 135 for overhead la.. Maybe 50mm? 135mm for beauty shots.
If 135mm for top shot it has to be about 10 to15 feet above the subject. bangwall.gif

You talking about your preview window getting choppy? Or your final export became choppy?

Sounds like your computer cants handle all the layers and preview smoothly. Premiere does use a lot of computer resources. Especially when you stick many layers like effects.

Your final export should still be fine.

Yeah final export. The footage is fine without effect add on like unsharp mask and extra sun flare. But with effect its choppy. But its kinda weird that its only happens with my slow motion footage. Normal footage just fine even add up sharpen and lots of effects

Idk if my laptop spec isnt good enough but heres my spec

Intel quad core i7 3630QM Ivy bridge
Nvidia gt650m
8gb ram
Windows 10 64bit
1tb hdd 5400rpm

Im using premiere pro cc 2017 btw
