hey guys.
i just wanna ask,is there any freeware for simulating a PIC for my C coding?
I just wanna try if I can really code it before I invest on it for my final project smile.gif
thanks

Maybe this comes too late. But I used PIC Simulator IDE from OshonSoft. Very good software though.. There have this trial version if i am not mistaken. I've used it before for my pic16f877 and pic18f452. Good to go smile.gif

(Not an expert here, but still wan to kepo)

CPP u mean .cpp files and also MPLAB (for PIC programming) ?

Are you using DevC++ from Bloodshed?

I think Microchip is quite a good thing to start with. They have a lot of sample codes. smile.gif Getting on a project soon?

hi, just bought an arduino uno for my fyp, need it to measure heart rate and temperature in real time and can communicate wireless using a transceiver. i googled and found that xbee is the best choice among it, anyone with experience can enlighten me with the least expenditure ? because i might need to spend some more cash with 2 xbee, and shields etc. to attach it to arduino. :|

Hi,I have a noob question,hehe
let's say I have a step down transformer rated at 12V,2A

does the load circuit will draw the amp that they need or will the power supply release 2A to the circuit?

thanks.

2A is the max amp the power supply can provide.. it will depend on the circuit to draw the power..

Use a multimeter set to ammeter in series to measure the current being drawn by the circuit...

The transformer is max 2A it can give. So your circuit must below 2A. Draw more than that will spoil your transformer or fuse blow or voltage drop.

Added on December 10, 2011, 10:00 amIs there anywhere I can get a big farad capacitor cheap. Used 1 also no problem.

Some call it super capacitor or ultracapacitor.

That's a fun thread! I've learned some microcontroller programming as a hobby a few years back, and made some cool toys out of them. smile.gif

'Neways, you wanna start, the Arduino or the mBed are all very good choice. But you gonna learn some C first before you play around with these good stuff. smile.gif

hi i bought this motor at jalan pasar...

http://nexttronics.amazonwebstore.com/Sony.../B001DH728C.htm

but there is no info about RPM and torque. its a audio system motor. this kind of motor can never be powerful enough to power RC cars right?

hi i am completely new to Electronics i need to create a motor circuit that will have a 10 sec delay before the motor starts running when the circuit is close.

i tried to do some google on this and it says a 555 IC and RC circuit will do the job , some says 555 is not needed. but im totally new and i dun understand the sample circuit.

is it really as easy as putting a resistor and capacitor on a series circuit ? using the formula T = R * C to calculate the time delay?

If the answer is no , may someone please show me how it is done. thanks a lot

The web results can be quite confusing at times.. for beginners... and some circuit could be wrong or wrongly drawn...

The 555 seems like an easier solution...

I'm no expert but I really suggest that you post the same questions to electronic forums like :-

http://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/

There r lots of friendly electronics experts there that can help you with yr problems BUT remember to post as much details as possible and reply to questions they ask you...

motor type, what is the voltage, is it AC or DC... what does the circuit do...

you need to design a circuit using:-
-555 timer circuit
-transistor as a switch
-relay

I really wanna help but Im busy with the final...Im only gonna be free two weeks from now icon_rolleyes.gif
