QUOTE(jasonkwk @ Aug 9 2007, 11:57 PM) why the higher input impedance is better in amplifer? Because a high input Z means that it wont load the source behind it. QUOTE(jasonkwk @ Nov 29 2007, 09:55 AM) anyone know is it possible to convert a voltage transformer into a resistor divider circuit equivalent? lol, simple, just multitap the thing.

QUOTE(spx @ Sep 19 2007, 04:36 PM) Anybody know where I can source for these potentiometers: - 25k log (25k A) - 250k linear (250k B) - 100k reverse log (100k C) I went to Jalan Pasar already but still couldn't find the 25k A and 100k C. They only have 250k B. Where can I get this Triple pole Double throw (3pdt) footswitch? Need this for true bypass switching purpose Got 9 pins!!! Added on September 19, 2007, 5:26 pmDo you know which shop in Jalan Pasar got sell flim type of capasitor? Asked most of the shops there already and they only have electrolytic type. I want to use the flim type capasitors for my signal path. What is the best capasitor type for signal path? try finding them in RS or farnell..or even from USA = www.digikey.com

QUOTE(ryansxs @ May 26 2007, 11:54 AM) I guess you mean Electrolytic capacitor and Ceramic capacitor. There is only one significant difference between these two capacitors. Electrolytic capacitor should be connected by considering its polarity (the +ve and -ve terminal) but for ceramic polarity is not important (means you can connect which way you want to connect also). For more info :- Try wiki Electrolytic capacitor actually there is some different .. well it's a about ESR,ESL. http://powerelectronics.com/mag/power_gett...mic_capacitors/Although tantalum and electrolytic cap is much much more expensive than a ceramic, but it do have it pros. just 2 cents

^^ go for branded ones like Sanwa (from Japan, and it will cost ya about +-RM250)
but this is for analog type tho... Digital ones might cost more...^^
