Resource for free components sample (read: FREE!!)

I read about this some time last year. The total cost is killing, especially here in Malaysia. Still cheaper than a true 'ginger' though.

DT-830A RM15.00@darson. Voltage & current measurement is quite accurate but resistance has tolerance of 4-5 ohm.

Anyway, don't use resistor to reduce voltage. better use regulator or at least zener diode.

If only using one concurrent output IMO you're better off with;
15-0-15 txformer
LM317 regulator + resistor network

same like what I say before larrrr!

LM317 can also supply high current using bypass PNP Txistor. but at lower cost than high current LDO regulator.
