With other bluetooth headset or FM bluetooth receiver, the bluetooth pairing will involve voice recognition through the headset/FM transmitter. With Preve HU, after the pairing, did the phone recognize the HU as headset ? If yes, it should be able to recognize the voice/speech.

preve don't have Hill Assist aka ECT??

Then who has tried stopping at a slope and release brake?
How much does the car roll backwards?
Easy to control the foot pressure on the accelerator pedal?
Hill descending using D mode has sufficient engine drag to slow the speed?
Or will it stays at a high gear while descending in D mode?

This is worrying me. I thought Proton says this car got features of cars above 100k but where is the hill assist button?? rclxub.gif

For CVT, I believe there is a hill-hold feature but it is built into the CVT TCU, no button whatsoever.

That said, the car will roll backwards when you release the brake up a slope, because the clutch needs time to close. I dunno how far because I will usually press the accelerator very soon.

Engine braking during hill-descend is pretty strong, though, even in D mode.

You need to use handbrake in D mode, apply some throttle until clutch is fully engaged. This CVT is diff. from torque converter as it will release the clutch completely when you apply foot brake in D mode.
Need some time for the clutch to be fully engage

Ahhhhh. nod.gif
Thanks for enlightening me. I am used to my altis. I never like to heat up my brakes when descending.
I guess by pushing down to S mode will add another 1000 rpm to drag much more. Right? hmm.gif

They both use torque converter CVTs, I believe.

The Punch Powertrain CVT uses wet clutch.

Yep. S will result in stronger engine braking. I am, of course, speaking from experience from using the CVT from my Saga which is also from Punch Powertrain, but different model (Saga is VT2, Preve is VT3).

Torque converter will always engage/drag with flywheel (spinning) in D mode. Even with low contact between engine shaft and transmission it will become significant in start and stop condition in term of fuel consumption

both sama saja

VT3 is based on VT2 with stronger and bigger parts.

VT2 is an "evolution" of VT1 which was previously developed by ZF for Mini and Rover, etc.

no relation at all.

ZF wants to concentrate on making conventional automatics and keep on pushing the cog war in automatic transmission because automatics are more popular in Europe, so ZF sell off all its research and patents in CVT to PUNCH. Punch further develop the ZF CVT and the result is VT2, VT3 and VT4. Just good business.
