Moutinho and Baines?
They are quality players but they are not so young right? Both are already 26 and 28 respectively. But after all it's just a rumour SOS |

I like Fletcher, but if he does not fully recovers (I really hope he will, not just because of football), Moutinho seems
to be playing similar style to Fletcher. Great engine and non-stop running. Always there to fight for the ball. He is not young, but he is not that old too. For me, the squad seems to have to big of a gap, especially in the middle. From Clev's the young with potential to Carrick and Scholes, the veterans. Moutinho can fit in to fill in the gap and give more experience in the middle but still being energetic. |

i dont like the idea of buying Baines. Evra is a better player, and just 2,3 years older.. Baines will offer different qualities of course. he's a better crosser and and great free kick specialist.
he'll be a good addition though, but not at that price bandied around. i prefer we stick to Fabio and Fryers as a backup for Evra, and invest the money for better CM, thats more urgent than buying a backup for a player that rarely injured and still a good player.. |

Evra rarely is injured and still good, both are true but he has not being able to have a rest for the past 2 3 years now
I think. He had constantly playing 50+ games a season and then play a major tournament in the summer. If SAF thinks Fabio or others are a capable back-up player, Evra wouldn't play that much games I think. With Baines supposedly coming, it would strengthen the overall squad, and give Evra ample rest when needed. Although, I don't quite like the sound of the price that has been rumoured around. Transfers involving any English club tends to result in overpricing but I don't think there is a better experienced EPL left back out there at the moment, apart from Cole of course. |

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Jul 1 2012, 08:15 PM) For the last time, please stop posting in all full capital letters. yeah, which is a good thing since i do think that Evra doesn't had any competition at all at LB currently, which for sure had contributed to his inconsistencies to a certain degree...Baines is experienced enough, BPL proven, and would provide the right kind of challenge to Evra's starting positionIIRC, Fryers might do a Pogba and rejecting the new contract offered. If Evra does not buck up (he was pretty inconsistent last season, defensively) then Baines (if join) could be challenging to start instead of merely a backup. but with Everton playing hard ball...i am not so sure |

Not too bad after getting 3 premier leagues, 1 CL and a world club medal for free after all these years. Others may not get them

If Moyes manage to sell Baines for around 15m or more and replace him with Danijiel Pranjic for free, really good business for Everton(if he can fill up the Baines position).

so Ando had gone from our midfield savior along with cleverley at the start of the last season to "freeloader" at the club now?

the way I see it now, the youngsters are looking at United as a stepping stone/gateway to getting regular football at other clubs.
Norwood just rejected a contract from United to go to Huddersfield town. he has the Beckham vibe but sadly, knowing he won't get his chance at his age, he decided to leave. I won't be surprised if we start losing great talents at the club. SAF knows the pressure is on him to 1) maintain young talents 2) maintain a magnificent team it's hard with demands from the fans to get a OMG SO KENG team to challenge for the title. at this point, youngsters don't mean crap, sadly. i really won't be surprised if there is another young player leaving the club for another lower league club. |
