example iphone with 3.5inch, screen so small but resolution got qHD =.=
dunno what the point
*
Exacta!! No matter how HD it is, it's too small. Intro such high res into small screens for what? It's not like we're zooming in every words when reading

Well, if u got a great idea, then somebody stole it and earn much money, u will feel hurt also right?
Patent law is to protect innovativeness.

I'm sure SAMSENG already patent the new stuff in s3, likewise HTC patent their sense technology.
*
Yeah, true, but not to the extent where it restricts innovations. And we're talking about INNOVATIONS here.
The case is different when nothing innovative is patented.
Good artists copy great artists steal. Nicely said, but it's fine when one steal but not others? sweat.gif

haha who knows
hope they like note, won't release another model
and actually they release another mode, the more work they need to do
release the firmware and others ...
*
Samsung has been releasing lots of models. Eventually, this delays their software updates. But I'm seeing improvements since last year. Am always getting updated Android updates unless they officially announce that they've ditched update support for a specific phone. For example, SGS is still getting Android 2.3.6 updates last month

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...ource=pulsenews

a few key points to take note will be the camera sensor, audio chip, video capability, the 128-bit GPU bandwidth, sensors

I still think 4" is about the right size for me, if I'm to go diagonal. Maybe tougher on keyboard, but back then I was using Swype more, so it was really nice too.

Dont forget, we have menu button on top right corner in plenty of ICS apps, which ... requires extra length thumb. For my case, I hold it with my left hand more than right. So...  thumbup.gif
*
thumbup.gif I always hold my phone with my left hand too!! Even for typing.

QUOTE(farscope @ May 7 2012, 12:24 AM)
that one will be the white balance. different sensor, n software. hence the difference in judging the white balance, which can be corrected no worries.

the sample picture shows the sharpness between s3 and s2. which can be used as a good reference.

the downside of the camera is the lens aperture at f2.6 only. but adequate for normal usage.
*
Erm, mind explaining more on the aperture part? Am not good in photography sweat.gif

If I am not mistaken, Sammy has released the update for SGS. Forgotten what they called it, but I read in the news, about 3 weeks back. Surprise, surprise.
*
I think you've misunderstood my previous post. I'm saying that they've improved their software updates where they still provide 2.3.6 updates to SGS (last update was April 2012). They call it Value pack, comes with some ICS features and TW4 laugh.gif

QUOTE(Hunakadoo @ May 7 2012, 11:57 AM)
hmm , my software support doesn't mean 'latest android version'
Samsung is late than HTC this time by given update on android ics .

but what i mean is software support
s3
-s voice
-s beam (NFC support)
-Smart Stay eye tracking
-Dropbox (50 GB storage)
-sd card support

htc
- Beats Audio (owned by SIII's Wolfson chip) tongue.gif
- fast burst camera / take photo while record video ?

i own a one X too , the support seriously quite less while compare to samsung .
But the quality is the best one while compare to this plasticky samsung (One X uses same material as SIII)
*
I can also take photos while recording videos on my SGS stock Samsung rom, I guess SIII will be able to do the same too wink.gif

hmm are you sure One X same material as SIII ? One X is in Matte scratch resistant rubber i think . while i don't think SIII cover is made in matte material .

Yeah , S3 also can take photo while recording .
*
Are you using a grey One X? They both uses the same material - polycarbonate. The glossy look on SIII is due to "hyperglaze" finishing which Samsung claims is scratch resistant as well

i understand what u saying.

for certain things it depends on developer. if developer gatal put a text as picture, then too bad. but my question is why is there so many instances the developer don't allow us to copy text. is quite prevalent in 3rd party apps. for example. in youtube.com for pc the text that people write are all copy-able. but in the youtube app in android, it is not. wtf? where is the quality control here.

for certain things maybe is the OS itself. this one i not sure.
*
As far as I understand, this should be the app itself. Maybe they have a different approach to mobile and pc

yeah grey one X , but still i don't think it's in same material .
Maybe have to wait until i hold the S3 only know . as now im comparing with my Note and Hox
*
Grey One X is different, there's a layer of rubber coating on top of its polycarbonate. White One X doesn't have the layer though smile.gif

QUOTE(ramz @ May 7 2012, 12:22 PM)
chill out la on design and material issues. design and material are all opinions ,so u will never get  consensus even after the cows come home for the 5th time.

for me plastic is good, coz it is lighter. i put in my pocket all day, i don't want it to be heavier then my balls right? anyway who cares when i'll be wrapping it up with some condom or leather casing. i never seen many people with  smartphones don't have some kind of protection.
*
Actually we're not arguing which is better, I'm just trying to present the correct info on SIII which most people overlooked biggrin.gif

The phone is glossy surface. So I believe it won't get dirty as easy as matte surface.
*
That's probably the reason HTC goes rubber with the grey One X. Maybe the blue SIII will attract more fingerprints hmm.gif

Both glossy and matte surface has their own pros and cos. Glossy won't get dirty easily but is prone to scratches and is a super finger print magnets. Matte surface is finger print and scratch resistance but easily get dirty. Luckily the material for white HOX is good where you can just wipe the stain off easily. Like how XPS does.
*
Can't wait to touch a real SIII to see how scratch resistant the hyperglaze is laugh.gif

My Oakleys are also PC material with "scratch resistant" finishing.

Just take my advice, don't hold your breath on it.  laugh.gif

Most users will use a case anyway even if it's scratch resistant laugh.gif
