Anyone get their Fossil watch yet ?

My SA told me earlier there is no such thing as "free fossil watch for buyer booking before 1st April"

But when I collected my car last Thursday, he told me that I entitled to get one, asked me to sign the form. The watch will be mailed to me directly.

I guess same feedback too..No way !! Any Hyundai cars should priced below 80K !!

This morning i parked my car outside an electrical shop at road side, i stand and smoke just outside the shop while waiting for them to fix my table lamp.

One uncle riding an ex-5 suddenly stopped in front of me, parked his motorcycle and started inspecting my car, from front to back.

Suddenly he asked me: "how much this car ? 70K ?" How he knew that's my car is beyond me.

I told him no lah, around 120K.

He said: "erm..Hyundai is under Sime Darby now right ? 120K still ok lah. Looks a bit better than my accord, much much better than my son's Altis."

I thought he wanna go into the electrical shop to buy something after this, but no, he just drove off like that.. doh.gif

Looks like this uncle has nothing better to do, simply stopped at roadside and chit chat with stranger...WTF is in his mind ?

I remembered someone mentioned about water pouring sound.

I heard it too this few days, especially when entering a corner or curve. It sounds like water running thru longkang. Not sure where the sound come from, either near sunroof or rear left hand seat. Only happened when cold start in the morning though.

Anyone else experienced or knew what's the sound ?

anyone of here able to provide a kind suggestion whether where can i buy the huyundai emblem (front and rear) ? Local SA reli useless, i rather to get it by myself..
*
1.6 only need to buy the rear emblem. Take out the front Inokom emblem, Hyundai emblem is hiding under it.

Latest batch of 1.6 not sure, as SA said new batch won't come with Hyundai emblem anymore.

*
1.8 have to get front and rear. If SA didn't bull me, 3S at Sg.Pinang have "enough supply" of Hyundai emblem.

In fact, I haven't seen an Elantra with Inokom emblem on the road at Penang Island.

2 months close eye can pass already.

The most difficult time to pass is when they call to inform you that next week can collect your car.
Started from that day, everyday seems like very hard to pass. sweat.gif sweat.gif

notworthy.gif nice compilation bro.. but frankly, please avoid using ShellFuelsave. Their "supposedly" fuel-saving alternative is only for long-distance driving.

In city driving, the petrol really has MINIMAL pickup  shakehead.gif  causing us to stomp on the pedal even harder to get more acceleration - end up burning up more precious fuel.

Shell V-power RON97 however, is a totally different story altogether.  laugh.gif i'm using that for my run-in now.
*
Totally agree with that. ShellFuelsave sucks big time, never gonna use them after tested on Iswara and Vios.

BHP always my 1st priority, then Caltex.

maybe because this is the first car purchase i ever made.. felt as if the clock ticks way slower than it used to.. close eye pass 1 day only laugh.gif

gonna go check the tender result tmr.. chances are low but if i do win then u will soon have a fellow owner with 2 digits number  biggrin.gif
*
If one of the digits is 3,8 or 9 then your chances are low. Tender price in Penang is not that high i think. I get mine for RM500 only.

The "quek quek" sound coming from driver side front door panel and left passenger rear door panel is finally driving me crazy. That irritaing sound appear so frequently while riving on uneven road above 40km/h.

So I called my SA at Sg.Pinang 3S this morning, he asked me to come over and let them check it out. Once arrived, the service advisor drove my car into their service bay immediately. He then write a note to his mechanic.

I went chit chat with SA. Wait for a while and saw the mechanic drived my car out to test on the road. I asked him did he hear that irritating sound when he came back. He said yes, small matter only, don't worry. He opened all doors and started applying a white liquid to all the rubbers. According to him, our wether is too hot. Its the rubber making all those sound. After finished, he go test drive again. Then came back and passed me the key. Everything settled.

I thanked them and purposely went to uneven road to test. No more irritating sound, back to usual quietness I liked.

My first visit to their services dept. I must say the SA, service advisor and mechanic are very helpful and friendly. All processes took less than 45 minutes. Thumb up.

Hi Tony,

This happen to mine too.. whenever driving in noon time on uneven road.. all 4 door got rubber rubbing sound.. really irradiated.. are they apply those thing like silicon gel or what? just afraid it won't last long and the sound comes back again..

Guess i need to pay a visit to SA
*
I am not sure what he apply, its a liquid in milk white colour. He told me this is good one, different from those cheap one from outside workshop, which will cause the rubber to crack after 1 year.

I did ask him after car wash need to apply again and he said no need.

QUOTE(666devil @ May 21 2012, 02:14 PM)
I thought they apply WD40? Normally sound will come back due to our stupid weather... Cold hot cold hot.
Anyone face rattle sound from front dashboard? Sound like metal hitting metal
*
Huh ? Can apply WD40 on rubber ?

I think what they apply is to soften the rubber.

No sound from dashboard so far.

today brought my colleauge out for a ride during lunch.
She told me, now i just realised how noisy my vios(current model) had been.
when i show her all the feature, she poisoned until want to sell off her 2yo vios  doh.gif  surela rugi kao kao. I asked about the 2nd hand value -> 30-35% of original purchase price.
2nd hand value my foot.
In another note, I am really impressed with the NVH of this car, compared to current Altis 1.8. those who complaint NVH not good must be driving 1.6 with the lousy default NCT tyres??
*
How true. Today i sent my wife's Vios to do servicing. That's the 1st time i drived her car ever since i got my Elantra 1.8 1 week ago.

Immediately feel the different once sit in, not to mention when the car is on the move. Totally cannot compare with my new ride. The NVH, space and the premium feel.

The different is like comparing the Vios with my traded-in 13 years old Iswara 1.3. Yes..the different is that huge.

The only thing that can be proud of that 8 years old Vios is, its still worth 50% of the original purchased price. But my wife will definately trade-in this car once Veloster launch. biggrin.gif

Tony nope it's metal hit metal sound, not metal hit plastic. Driven T for donkey years learned how to listen to rattle liao. LoL! Thanks for suggestion
*
Ic..this car have lot's of storing compartment but keeping all those unnecessary things in the car will create all kinds of sound.

The user manual in the glove compartment keep dragging the i-phone cable inside, making some knocking sound. Those sound disappear after i wrapped and tied that cable. That cable is useless to me anyway as i am android guy tongue.gif
