what 4 month? Get well soon Willy Sagnol. U've done a good job during vs Milan match sad.gif Hopely Bayern manage to get Marcell Jansen from Borussia Mnchengladbach. (fuhh! rclxub.gif ). Reportedly he can can play as left back and also as a left midfielder. If happened.. can put Lahm on the right side of the field. hmm.gif

Bayern deserved that draw in Milan. Kaka's penalty was just ridiculous coz it was clearly a clean tackle from Lucio. not saying that Bayern played better as Milan had the possession and almost scored 3-4 goals. central midfield wasn't that impressive either, but the discipline and composure had kept them alive in that game. Hitzfeld managed to add that in the team, the things that were missing during Magath's reign, although he's actually a very good coach.

Yeah I do agree with theripper as it is a clean tackle. nod.gif For the next match it might be Rensing based on his excellent performance on the last match. But we'll see as Ottmar Hitzfeld has always got good plan and strategy on his mind.. hmm.gif

Added on April 8, 2007, 12:49 amWe won 1-2. An early warning to Milan! tongue.gif

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Apr 9 2007, 08:20 AM)
I hope Bayern can win the Bundesliga.
*
just six poins left behind the leading Schalke 04 with 56 points
but there also wender bremen with 54points
and VfB Stuttgart with 52 points,

so bayern now 50 points,
it's not so easy to hope all the team above bayern get draw or lose in their match,
and remember the match left for this season just 6 match,
hmm.gif

thats look like imposible,

In 2002/03, Inzaghi scored a brace to help Milan beat Bayern 2-0, and that's what the Milan fans will be hoping for in tomorrow night's clash as the Italian team will be targeting a place in the last four.

so beware .....

Beware eh scorp?
Heheheheh.. Hope Bastian Schweinsteiger can still play cos losing him for the game would be such a blow! However Bayern still have Van Bommel, Hargreaves and Andreas Ottl who can cover up the situation infact Hasan Salihamidzic could pull back into defence as well. But whatever it is .. I'm hoping for the best.! icon_rolleyes.gif

Injuries rock Bayern preparations for Milan

MUNICH, April 10 (Champions League) - Bayern Munich have several injury worries ahead of Wednesday's decisive Champions League quarter-final against AC Milan.

With Willy Sagnol out for the rest of the season after damaging his knee in the first leg - which ended in a 2-2 draw - coach Ottmar Hitzfeld is sweating over the fitness of no fewer than three other regulars.

Owen Hargreaves, Lucio and Hasan Salihamidzic are all struggling and their availability will only be decided after the final training session on Tuesday afternoon.

Bastian Schweinsteiger will have to wait even longer before knowing if he will be fit to face the Rossoneri at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

'Schweinsteiger is very doubtful,' revealed Hitzfeld on Tuesday.

We Step It Up A Gear At Home, Thunders Hitzfeld Bayern Munich coach Ottmar Hitzfeld was in confident mood as he spoke about tonight's clash against Milan, one which he insists will not be decided by individuals, but by a team effort.

We Step It Up A Gear At Home, Thunders Hitzfeld

Fan Support

"We have the great advantage of playing the second leg at home," said Hitzfeld, speaking to the press on the eve of the game.

"The public can be the 12th man for us, and we've shown that with great support we can achieve great results.

"However, we know that we haven't already qualified. In order to pass the round we will have to play a great game and we will do it with the help of our fans

"We go up a gear when we're at home. We are capable of pushing up our performance by ten to 20 per cent."

Lucio, Hargreaves, Salihamidzic Ready

"Lucio, Owen Hargreaves and Hasan Salihamidzic have recovered," he continued, speaking of injuries.

"They will play. Martin Demichelis definitely will not play [neither will Sagnol, of course]. Bastian Schweinsteiger still has some problems with his knee and his situation is being followed by our doctor.

"A decision about him will be made tomorrow. At the moment, it is difficult to say how important his absence would be if he doesn't play.

"These cases create a good opportunity for substitutes, that is what happened for Andreas Ottl. He did very well at the San Siro in Mark Van Bommel's place."

Collective Effort

"It is about team spirit and we've shown we can step up our game against the biggest teams," said the German, emphasizing on a collective effort.

"Mark Van Bommel? He is important to us. However, with a bit of luck even without him we obtained the 2-2 result all the same in Milan.

"We were happy with the result in Milan but not with the performance. Just like in Hannover we made too many mistakes in the first half.

Finally, the coach insisted that the match would be decided by team effort, and that the better 'team' would come through: "Milan have a great squad of excellent players but individuals won't decide the tie. The better team will come through."
