Ah yea, guess everyone has the toggles these days huh. The toggles work the same way? (swipe to see the extras).

But guess that's why he's concentrating on the lock screen. Most of the other features have been emulated in some way or another

Yeah swipe to see the extra.

Actually the steps is quite simple ...as long u follow the steps smile.gif everything will be fine ....
anyway doest triangleaway1.25 can settle my yellow triangle on my The Byani Rom ?
*
If your still on old GB bootloader jig will work. If your on ICS bootloader you can try triangle away. I have use it without any problem. Many have also tried successfully but of cos the risk is always still there.

but flashing into custom rom don't it spoil the warranty?
*
My warranty spoil until basi d. tongue.gif Yes technically it void warranty, but can restore your phone back to stock condition if ever u need to send to SC. From user's past experience, samsung does not emphasize much on this and will still service your device.

haha.. any recommend that rom safe battery as well nice? haha.. i mean graphic

If you really want to save batt, better stick to GB. From my experience, ICS does consume a little more power than GB. But i dun really monitor my batt consumption, got charger everywhere.

The phone I am going to get:
Android version: 4.0.3
Baseband version: I9100XXLPS
Kernel version: 3.0.15-I9100XWLP8-CL356487  dpi@DELL173 #3
Build number: IML74K.XWLP8

I have a few questions:
1) is the phone rooted already?
2) How to Root? in page 1 says...
"To check, go to settings, about phone, scroll to the bottom. Look at baseband version, remember the last 3 letters, so let's say its XXKL1, then download the KL1 CF Root file."

But XDA syas...
"Go to Settings -> About phone -> Kernel Version. Note the string present there:
2.6.35.7-I9100XXKG1-CL349526
What matters most (KG1) in this case, is in bold. Try to find the matching file under downloads:
CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.zip"

So, since for the phone above, baseband version not the same as kernel, which to follow?

Thanks in advance.
*
If u got super SU or superuser in your app drawer you are rooted. If not rooted, then download CF kernel XWLP8 and flash through odin.

i believe all this anti theft app will be useless once they flash to other rom
unless there are apps that will be able to stay in the sys after full wipe
but then hard reset may came in to counter it
best way is to care for your phone
*
Some of the anti-theft app are hard reset proof. Only flashing a new rom through odin/cwm will wipe it.

This is for rooting eh? What does clockworkmod means? hehe very noob  sweat.gif
You mean the kernel version? wow so noob weh me  sweat.gif
*
Yes its for rooting. Clockworkmod (CWM) is tool that allow you to flash roms/kernels and other stuff. Even the stock rom comes with samsung own CWM. First it will flash a kernel with CWM then your suppose to use superoneclick to root it.

Isn't that recovery with less function. Clockwork mod recovery is there to replace the default recovery. That is what I always thought.
*
Yes its a limited recovery, which is why we still need the modded recovery from custom kernels.

Need download those files? CWM,Odin, superoneclick? Rite?
*
Yes.

1. Power your device off (shutdown)
2. Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
3. Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
4. Start Odin on PC
5. Click PDA box and choose "GT-I9100G_XX_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" that you downloaded (Note this is .tar file) (DO NOT tick repartition)
6. Connect your Phone to PC
7. If odin detect your phone the first box will turn yellow
8. Click start
9. Once successful the first box will turn green
10. Device will auto reboot.
11. After reboot you can easily root your device using SuperOneClick. This will install superuser and busybox for u.

Edit
Note:
1. Make sure kies is installed for the correct drivers to allow odin to detect your phone
2. BUT make sure kies is not running in the background or odin will not work. Open up your pc task manager and kill anything with the word kies on it. tongue.gif
3. Some people prefer to disable antivirus also.
4. Never ever disconnect usb cable while flashing.
