My car will finally be arriving sometime next week too if all goes well, definitely going to check up on that autolock thing. BTW the pic I posted from that manual earlier I found out it wasn't from the c manual just to update you guys.

Side note: I also found out I was on 2nd batch shipment (no idea why but then again it may have been a good thing). I do hope mine does feature the autolocking, but I also heard that all the Prii (Prius, v, c) from March onwards began shipping with a stiffer chassis brace. Anyone mind checking theirs?

No idea about the warranty side of things, but here's a nice thread about changing to hid & led lights.

I'm thinking of doing it too, but like you am also unsure about warranty. I want to add on a low tone horn as well in addition to the stock one because no one pays attention to the road runner meep meep sound lol. Maybe might choose Hella or PIAA. Can anyone let us know if any of the above voids warranty (I guess it would for the part we're changing)? I want to do something basically like this. I think the Prius C horn only has 1 wire going to the it like in the pics and the mount is the actual ground.

PS - I don't intend to cut any wiring for the horn addon, it'll just basically be piggyback/rewire from the other. Should be ok right?

Yeah door visor is another one on my list too! The only place I see to get them is online/foreign like Japan or priuschat accessory shop but kinda expensive I bet plus you gotta install yourself if you order. Can't wait for the local side to hurry up with addons/accessories.

Yeah, I don't think I'll mess with the lights until I see a willing guinea pig do it first hahaha. The horn is something that really needs changing though, I tend to use it quite a bit especially when someone is trying to pull out suddenly from a parking without looking or talking on their phone. The prius c horn makes me chuckle and think of a Modenas Kriss moped horn lol.

How easy would it be for someone to steal the car? Wouldn't it need to have an identifiable keyfob to id to the car or can that totally be bypassed? Of course I am sure there are ways especially known to the Toyota people but what about out there in the real world? Any feasible ways for them to break into and steal the car without the keyfob?

Actually I am too! I think Tuesday or Wednesday the latest but I am positive Monday. I guess the only way around the seat belt warning is to wrap the seat belt behind the seat (but of course this is not recommended since seat belts are important for safety ). I do understand how annoying it is though, I have to deal with that everytime in another car I drive. I don't think there is a user option to disable it afaik.

I have basically decided that is the best way to go as well (even though I got the stupid dvd-avn option). You could just mount the tablet somewhere and plug it in aux to use the car speakers and all is well.

I'm surprised you were able to order that color because they only offered such limited colors at the beginning of launch (why is that?). If normal colors have a long waiting list, I can only imagine what it may be for colors that aren't readily available just yet. Maybe you should call up your SA again. My SA never said anything about being able to get other colors, but then again I didn't really bother asking about it further, they just told me the only colors they could get was what they had on the brochure for now and other colors probably later in the year.

Ahh. I guess even if I had been given the option I would probably still stick to the color I originally chose lol. Also I hate waiting damn long. Now that my car is almost here I feel as though time is going much quicker - I almost feel like I'm not ready to receive haha. Now I need to plan some long trips I can take the car on and also break it in.

Hmm, did any of you guys ever receive an sms from UMW Toyota that says something like, "Greetings from UMW Toyota: Thank you for placing your order for Prius C. We appreciate & value your support in choosing Toyota as your preferred brand.". Just received the sms yesterday (and no I still haven't got the car yet *sadface*). Also this hot weather lately is driving me insane - but it finally rained lots last night.

Sidenote: Hmm, is nobody interested at all in that prius c maintenance dvd? It not only shows some servicing stuff but also dismantling (doors, seats, etc). I wonder if they can send to Malaysia. I do know there are a few sites selling it including amazon but I don't think it's on the international list on amazon. Cheapest price I saw is about 3,800 yen. Anybody mind helping to find out where Malaysian's can order? My nihongo is severely lacking in the kanji department.

I think pearl white may reflect some other colors at specific angles (I could be mistaken), but I think the other guys here can elaborate more on it. I think someone a few posts back actually described it I can't remember who it was.

Also I found out the toyota tinting takes something like 60 days to cure and you shouldn't roll the windows down for a week or whatever it was. (I still gotta re-read everything).
Another thing I found out was that the dvd-avn used malsing map dated from 2010 year.
I found the tow screw in thingy on the passenger side floor.
I had to pump the tires as for some reason the front left tire was quite deflated.
I think I have to remind the SA about the tinting warranty as it was not fully filled out/signed.
There was quite a bit of dirt on my car? Like grimey dried water on the right side of the windshield heh, not sure what that was about, not to mention the car itself was slightly dusty. I will be taking it for coating soon (gzox).

You should keep up with your SA because when I waited for a month for mine to contact me they didn't, and I had a feeling soon enough that I was going to end up on the 2nd shipment (which I did) but finally it came in. My SA said they had their hands full too so I think they had other stuff to contend with, but each time I would ask they seemed a little blur at times about the arrival date so I would keep inquiring persistently. I have a feeling I got pushed down the queue or something (I ordered beginning of March) because apparently there are already around 30 here in kk? I have only seen one though. chrymnd what color did you order? NEbulaSurfer wow, quite a long time, where are you and what color did you choose? I do seriously say even with the excrutiatingly painful waiting time that feels like someone slowly pricking away at fresh scab nerve endings with a needle it was worth it. I finally felt the release of tension and drove around for an hour or two immediately after getting the car off the lot, ate some delicious bakuteh, bought some jackpot tickets, and finished off with ice cream hehe. Try asking your SA where in the waiting list or shipment you are in, not sure if it would work but it's worth a try just to ask. I think kk people are going to love this car.
