Added on July 16, 2012, 2:15 pmI've tested my GPS on few cars, some cars matched the GPS's speedometer & others (included 1 Vios) is plus minus 3km/h. Then I tested it on my Prius C & my friend's Prius 1.8, result for both speedometer is the same, exactly 7km/h faster than my GPS.. Which one is accurate; the GPS or both Prii...? Maybe they purposely made the setting lower than the actual speed to get better FC..?

Ya someone pls do a research?
I to feel the pc speedometer is inaccurate as I the car is actually slower than meter.
Unless pc built is so pro that we feel slow but actually driving fast!

I agree, I think some research needs to be done to check the accuracy, I hope anyone with the means can help do it

Thanx dear. I drove to office today and the ride was smooth and steady. Love it soooo much! One small problem
though I think i need to learn how to read the display on that dashboard.
Lol, there is much information in the many screens on the multi informational display (abbreviated as MID) it may feel overwhelming at first, but once you go through the manual and familiarize yourself with it you'll end up most probably only checking 2-3 screens the most but by that time you'll probably be really familiar with it you'll be able to flip through them all with no problems. I'm always on the ecoscore display lol, then sometimes when I'm stopped at a traffic light I sometimes toggle the display to Drive Info or just check my Trip A and Trip B values. I only ever look at the 5 minute consumption screen or past records before I get out of the car from a journey. The top 3 score can be addictive as you always want to beat it.
To update those that didn't know (and the new owners), you can toggle ODO/Trip A/Trip B for the "Drive Info", "Eco Score", "5 Min Consumption", "Past Records" (this one you can set to show personal best which shows top 3 scores or monthly average. When I last checked the car does indeed log the progression of both despite only being able to display only 1 of them at a time). When I say toggle, make sure you are only pressing the trip button and *not* holding it down as that will reset your Trip A/Trip B values (and we don't want this to happen if you're trying to keep track of a tank or journey hehe).

Don't create page. Create group pls. Page has limitation for member and also it is prone to spam by dealers
Btw
I dunno when to use ev mode. Till now found no suitable timing for ev. Feels like it is useless.
Eco and ev mode both are unused to me
And lemon. I use salamander 5mm tint with 90% irr. Cost me 1300. Good enough. Even 36 degree also don't feel hot. So I don't think need very branded one. Maybe cos of original glass already got uv protection thus the coolness is good if compare to my civic. Faint

damn hot
Ahh I get what you mean by EV mode - I hardly use it as well but there are applications of its usage just as conqu3ror mentioned but indeed it feels gimmicky. That is probably one of the least utilized functions in my car right now along with the heater (lol).
What is salamander tint btw? That was confusing when I saw you mention that earlier. It's actually called salamander?lol
Ok off topic but I'd like to bring the issue about autolock in here once again.
Ok so this is what they say apparently:
- they took it out for safety reasons
Ok fine. But then I thought, VPNS (vehicle proximity notification system) is a safety precaution, but they took that out too. Why would they take out something that contributes to safety? They took out autolock because they thought it was unsafe, so obviously something that adds to safety should be kept, shouldn't it?
It makes no sense at all... who knows, maybe they took vpns out whether it's safe or not just to cut costs.
Can someone who is going to their service soon can bring it up with the service center? Something is not adding up here and I want to know what Toyota has to say about it.
That said, there *are* pros to having no vpns hehehe. As you know the car is already quiet on EV, this just adds to that stealthiness by not emitting that vpns sound. Think of all the applications of having a silent escape car. Maybe assassins should get a prius c lmao. I would've loved a vpns sound hack so I could make my Prius C sound like a bigass car or something lol.
