frostlance, maybe for another spin, u take the preve, do this method, after stoping the car, disengage foot brake, engage handbrake, so, the clutch is release a bit, fed a bit of throttle so that it will disengage the clutch furthermore, then when u disengage the handbrake, apply full throttle(which u already did fed a bit throttle before) so that it will come to slow sat mode. Do in d n s mode and full manual mode(slot the lever to left). But in full manual mode, (do shift when rpm reach 5k rpm or the ecu n tcu will shift for u) using paddle shifter. This will unleash all the horses n torque coz even at 5k rpm, the torque only drop a bit around 195nm, but u get all the horses unleash.

But mind u,this will effect fc badly, but who cares coz its test drive unit after all, n please comments on that. Maybe can be a referance for manual tranny then. Dont worry about loose traction coz afterall, what is the use of traction control.

And if can, ask ur friend also to sparring with u side by side. Drive maybe up to 140@160kmh. Just my advice, do buckle up, and please choose empty road so that wont endanger anyone else.

It doesnt matter how bad ur good u feel, just post it, shall u. Tqvm.

Press throttle to disengage clutch?? You mean close the clutch right?

if im not mistaken according kristof, pressing the footbrake, using n and p mode will open the cluth. only in d mode the cluth is fully closed.

can someone confim on this? mat79 or dares?
*
Yep.

Also, my understanding is that in D/S/R mode, without pressing the throttle nor the footbrake, the clutch will ease off a little bit, meaning not fully closed but not opened, to prevent the engine from stalling but enough pressure on the clutch to allow the car to creep. Only when the throttle is pressed the clutch will fully close.

Correct me if I am wrong smile.gif

ah, before forget, remember eve project on gen2 long time ago by lotus? It use punch cvt. Just for info only.  af ratio always changes, some times lean, some times rich, according to operation.

Thats why i said not conclude everything just by dyno its on dyno machine. Lean or rich is vary according to operation. The engine is test on engine test chamber, n tested it throughout the world, covering more than 250k km. No needlah to mentioned where they tested its coz nanti org ckp hearsay n just boosting n etc.

Whoa, my hp like jam jam jam...so hard oledi. K,chow

i think i want to try this. usually i use my charade aura the car is small...even at 60 very shaking and floating feel.  i travel at 80 ~ 120 max. steering also seems going to become vibrator already. so i think with this car i still can remain my speed. just need the eye focus more on 80 or above abit then put auto cruise should be ok i think.
*
If you cruise at less than 100km/h, means you'll mostly be going under 2k RPM.
When you touch 2k RPM, you will be accelerating rather quickly because of turbo boosting and will touch 100 km/h in no time.

Which means, if you insist on keeping under 100km/h for 10,000km, your turbo will be sitting there useless most of the time, for 10,000km.

My advice, if you are worried, just drive normally but gently. No hard revving, no open throttle for the first 5,000 km.

Personally, I'm a fan of hard break-in thumbup.gif I drove 160 km/h right after my 1k service tongue.gif

I think you're being shoved away harshly, apologies on behalf of preve-ians, they can be very defensive at times.

Bout the timing belt, mat said new procedure change at 6 years or 120k km, I think that is fair amount of time, almost like timing chain maintenance. Hope this answer your doubts
*
I am still skeptical at the new timing belt replacement regime. I will probably just stay with the original replacement schedule hmm.gif hmm.gif Better safe than sorry

Do bear in mind though, the break-in period is not just for the engine, but also other moving components. In fact, your engine has already been red-lined in the factory, so I won't worry too much about the engine.

Drive carefully and listen to unusual noises and vibrations during the first 1k-5k km.

Hmm... How to effectively shutdown my car? I already power off. Already lock my car but still feel got fan spinning why is it like that ler?
*
Normal la. The fan is cooling down the engine and the turbocharger. Is it loud?
