QUOTE(stinger82 @ Apr 25 2012, 07:31 AM) hahahahahahahahhaha Pointing out an error is one thing, being rude is another.check your fact before you open your mouth. hahahahahhahahahahha you know nothing about gearbox. hahahahah, you better say stuff that you know. even if you're DSZ, you still dont know the technical details of your gearbox. so dont comment silly things. punch is a tiny company compared to jatco. u go to their website you will see that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmSmv6aiWqg...player_embedded ckk125 pointed out what he sees as an error. You, on the other hand, was being plain rude. You first post in 54 pages in this thread, you were just waiting for the opportunity, weren't you? Actually no need to move the shift stick I think.Keep in D/S, press footbrake to hold the car and open the clutch. When going to move, pull handbrake then releasing footbrake, press a bit of throttle then release handbrake. |

QUOTE(tkaira @ Apr 25 2012, 08:44 AM) like that also can..is just that if u select N at standstill the cvt will cool off rite? moreover brakepads are not worn out too fast..correct or not? Hmmm if the clutch is opened (with footbrakes) then the gearbox should already be disengaged from the engine, and the CVT and the car should not be moving.anyone can chip in? |

QUOTE(tkaira @ Apr 25 2012, 08:54 AM) haha yep anyone can confirm this? because IINM when press brake yes the car is not moving but when u want move on u press the throttle there is some lag rite? u floor it also dint move that fast.. so my method was addressing that lag la..or i misunderstood u You misunderstood me la. 1. stop car using footbrake, hold footbrake while stopped (open clutch, disengages CVT from engine, no power to the wheels.) 2. When going to move, pull handbrake, then release footbrake. (allow the clutch to close.) 3. Press a little throttle, release handbrake. 4. Profit. |

QUOTE(ghost_301 @ Apr 25 2012, 09:16 AM) Should be, as long as it is a CVT. I dunno how the IAFM+ Preve is tuned, so the lag from standstill may not be so severe, need to test drive only know. This post has been edited by dares: Apr 25 2012, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(stinger82 @ Apr 25 2012, 09:31 AM) after all these while, ppl here still do not understand. Ya know, I would appreciate it had you posted in this tone earlier. I can understand criticism, but you came off as a total tool.there is no need for proton to compare with any car, from its own rebadge inspira to myvi vios city, altis, 308 civic, lancer forte mazda3. if they can make existing persona/gen2/savvy buyer continue to buy the next car from them, they are successful. look at how many ppl yelling ,this will be my last proton! and stop all the propaganda on cvt, turbo, torque, power, handling. ONE photo in facebook says it all, and to add salt to the wound, its on the first week of launching, and a lot of ppl have no idea proton are launching new car, until the photo hit facebook. so much so for the marketing. to fight vios, they need low end power( no sluggish feeling, test drive myvi if you do not understand), and they need good FC car. omg when i saw 1.3 saga has FC that can match 2liter civic. 10km/liter? seriously? the first thing they should do is stop badmouth/compare/downplay all the competitor. seriously proton are just competing with perodua and they are not having an upper hand, hence they need DSZ from perodua to help them. do you know what proton needs? Word of mouth. not test drive experience that goes 190km/h.(hence the accident photo one year later if the car is good, sales will go up. not a launching hype and downplay every competitor. yes, i was rude in the hahaha, but look at my statement above then you know why i laugh. shoot blindly even at their very own product, and tell me the preve doesnt reference from mitsulancer, the RESS is a facepalm to RISE. typical and let see if this 1.6turbo will consume less fuel than any typical 2.0 car. the mark is 10km/liter. Anyway, it's good to see that you are giving constructive criticism, I think most of us Proton drivers know what we signed up for, so I have no problem with criticism as long as they are based on facts and not blind bashing. |
