where did you buy if from? mind sharing price?

massdrop. was USD499. there was bazaar sale this morning and it was 420 but all 7 units sold out. i'd say it's pretty good as a entry level integrated, but the output/input options are quite limited. power is adequate for LS50. will likely use it for my secondary setup once i buy a Yamaha integrated or Musical Paradise tube amp.

and here comes my Q900....







straight out from the box...the setup was fairly easy.....

first impressions (barely 4 hours):
1. the front grill could have been better....but it looks better without it
2. the sound is slightly bright due to aluminium tweeters but pleasantly bright...not the ear piercing type
3. the bass is suprisingly well articulated but with slightly uncontrolled bass towards higher volume
4. midrange dynamics are still not all out and transparent yet....
5. mid vocals are currently abit less emotional

now.....having said above...its also not a fair comparison of what i used to have....

currently this Q900 is powered by Pioneer LX-88....a class D avr and not made for music
the LX88 powers Q900 decently in my opinion but not to its full glory

Are u using q200c as a center? If so,upgrade to q600c bcos 60-70% of movies content coming from center and with the same size driver as q900 it will blend better..

Q700 as surround la abang hushymushy..hahaha..

For surrounds duty no need floorstander la adik bruce dickinson..

Surround channels rarely get full-range signals or high dynamic levels. Most of the time they are just ambient sounds and panning effects, which are seldom full-range signals with high dynamics.

You can order thru Perfect Hifi..but if they r too arrogant...go thru Desa Home or Hiway Laser....price should around 8k plus
