FSX Beta is out but hte real one i think would be out in the next few months.

I'll stick to the current one as my PC is not that well enough to power FSX

FSX dissapointed me. Those with super systems get 20 fps. You really need a fast computer to play it decently. Guess i'll stick to FS2004.

Yeah, i it needs DX10 as theres this shader thing that current graphic card doesnt have enough! Cant wait for DX10

basically, its just unplayable even on medium settings on FSX, i get like 5fps!!!
With everything turned down i can get decent frames around 10 but the whole thing just looks ugly!

plus, the loading time is very very very long around liek 10-15 minutes.

I'm sticking to FS9 till i upgrade my pc.

its good i think considering its made up of good quality ai aircrafts from ai-aardvark, FSPainter, EvolveAI and stuff like that.

But they do have legality issues because they did not have permission from the original painters itselves when compiling the AI. If you do not mind the novelty of it being 'ILLEGAL' i'm afraid you can just go for it!

If you have not know YET! AVSIM, sure i think you know it by now haha.

Increase the scenery complexity setting in the settings page.

Does it run smooth? What graphic card you running at.

This is subjective, best bet would be Saitek X52, around 300-400 bucks i think. If not you can just settle for Logitect Attack a simple one at around 100 more or less.

Anyways may i answer them for you if you don't mind maverick. Basicly there is only one ATC addon available which is called radarcontact 4 ; www.jdtlc.com.

Basicly what you see in maverick's video should not depict what happens inside FS, he probably recorded it and maybe inserted the atc chatters into the video through his video editing program, however radar contact 4 do also have random atc chatters depending on your location. If i'm wrong, please correct me maverick!

Those 500,300,200,100 50 are called GPWS, ground proximity warning system and those cockpit voices can be obtained through various payware planes. What i mean by payware planes are third party models that are not microsoft made (ms make crap planes btw) and some of them are close to real life simulation of the aircraft.

These payware planes come with real life sophisticated mechanisms and it really reflects the job of a through pilot, most of these come with a very steep learning curve but the enjoyment is when you land your first flight, starting from scratch from starting the aircraft from cold state to taxiing, handling the FMC and successfully landing the aircraft.

If you already know this, million of apologies from me...

on medium-low settings probably you're fine.. but nothing superior..

Go www.avsim.com search Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia/Air Asia..

quite a lot, you can narrow down by stating what model 737, 747,777,a320 etc etc

Technically it would be possible but realistically you won't be getting much performance out of that machine. FS9 would be better IMO.

anything would do. For beginners who are on a shoestring budget a Logitech Attack would do.

If you're into it seriously consider investing into a Saitek X52. Any joystick will work fine actually..

There aren't much freeware models i reckon most of them is for FS9. For paywares you can try google PSS Simulation, PMDG, Commercial Level Simulations and see if they have any for FSX. I'm not that sure of FSX as i'm on FS9 at the moment.

Jason, a simple Logitech Attack 3 would suffice. RM100+ only. Any cheapo joystick which works is ok
