Best is that you source "online" or get someone to burn for you |

i stil think FS2004 is better since there are abundant addons available.
FSX is slowly maturing, if you have a extra super pc, run FSX otherwise stay with FS9, it works good too! Err mods, can't really remember loL! |

AI Aircraft is used for custom AI traffic, if you want flyable aircraft download those under ORIGINAL AIRCRAFT.

A simple joystick will do the job for a beginner eg Logitech Attack 3. I started off with that one. About the addons for FS,there are numerous sites one of which is avsim.comavsim.com. But you know before you hit those sites and confuse yourself more with those crazy addons, i humbly ask you to take the flying lessons in FS, starting off with a Cessna-172 single prop in which you'll learn the basic maneuvers guided by an instructor voice. In real life, they do not fly according to a straight line. They have rather an assigned flightplan, with waypoints and stuff. Like roads in our context.About your flight from KLIA to Changi, what indicator are you looking for exactly ? if you've created a flight plan properly then the GPS will show you the direct route from one airport to another (purple-pink line) but if you're gonna follow that straight ahead then u might end up seeing the approaching runway parallel to your aircraft. That's where things like ILS (instrument landing system) comes in place. It also matters if your flight plans are VFR (visual flight rating) or IFR ( instrument flight rating). VFR is when you fly the aircraft based on your own judgment (low level flying). but IFR is when you are given commands by the ATC about when to turn and how high/low to fly. so you see, there's a heap load to it. I was just as excited when i started playing but soon i knew i had to go thru the lessons and now frankly, it's all worth it ! And also they have STAR procedures to follow to bring them to their airport from the transition waypoint. The ATC and procedures in basic FS are far from what is happening in real life to be honest. QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Jan 20 2009, 02:22 AM) I find FS2004 to be better for FSX for the time being. Timothy,
WOAI + custom traffic for me. packages like that is a hassle esp if you need to update flightplans and new liveries. But if you don't mind, i reckon SKAI is better. This post has been edited by db07mufan: Feb 7 2009, 04:40 PM |
