you're lucky the Preve is not using keyless start else i'll just enter your car and drive away while you're eating in the restaurant

Preve know the existing of you both and they know i'm buying
therefor, they conclude, must abandon the keyless start.

Won't the car move when using handbrake while stopping in D gear?

Gosh...its people like you that our country is going no where. The above is a comparison of malaysian cars and japanese car. The Jap can make a Camry and sell it at RM68k. I am not talking about buying car in US. I am talking about manufacturing a better car yet it cost less.

Added on April 19, 2012, 6:34 amIts not about who is richer. Its about making quality car at cheaper price. Yes proton is subjected to tax, but if you look a the ticket price leaving out all the tax, the civic, altis, are all cheaper than the preve and I won't want to argue which is better.

there is still a little pull from the gearbox but not enough to overcome the handbrake. its the same concept for torque converter AT.. in fact driving manual, i always use the handbrake method anyway....

the only thing stopping ppl from regularly doing this is that car manufacturer decide that is a "good idea" to put a high arm rest in the middle in the new proton car. the low arm rest like those in earlier waja is just nice and still as functional. Need to check out if the preve manual also have the same high arm rest. hopefully not then i go outside change to that type...

Am I the only one who like the manual version? The gear stick is a little
too forward but it is so smooth and precise.

You seems clueless about the thing that you talk.
Even after deduct all tax, Preve price isn't much diff compare to Civic. With all spec that Proton give, they actually take more lower margin compare to their competitor.
You think Proton is social company ka? They don't need to feed their worker? They don't need to have money for R&D? They make car with cost RM20k, then they should just sell RM20k? Have some sense la. There is still room of improvement for Proton, they can do better but bashing blindly w/o sense wouldn't help situation to improve.

Due to our rakyat mentality demanding cheap car for rakyat, Proton have to sacrifice the quality. This is what they have been doing. All demand kereta rakyat..

Proton should be treat as a company not, doing it for charity. This is the biggest dilemma Proton had now.. rakyat want cheap car but BMW quality. And for the tax, even Vios without the excise, Preve still cheaper than vios, if minus the excise as well.

Even without tax, the Civic is still more expensive than Preve.
