Even Proton give spec like BMW also, people want Proton to give price below RM100k just because it was local car.
Pity Malaysian. Their rakyat always look down their own product too much.

Defining worth please    To be realistic, none car was perfect. The prob with Malaysian is, they try to seek Proton prob way too much compare to their competitor. Small prob in conti/japanese car is big prob at Proton.
It just hard to satisfy Malaysian need when our people head just full with negativity which lead to bias perception.
I'm not saying Proton is good but compare to their same price range competitor, they are doing good actually.
But of course, there is still room for improvement.

Anyway, I wonder why people here not flaming UMW Toyota by giving ridiculous spec for our beloved Malaysian    Simply because Malaysian head are just full with positivity about foreign car. No airbag, no abs, no ebd also ok since my mind can accept it. Really typical 

And if you read F&F more often, you can get your answer about the Proton pricing at local and oversea more easily.

bro, wat kind of comparison is this? if u are working and living in the states, pls go ahead and spend $22k get the camry. RM68k wont get u half of camry in Malaysia.

I ask you to read more on this forum did you read    Did you know Proton also are subjected to tax? Why the hell you compare price at USA and Malaysia. Tax structure are big different.

And if i not mistaken, USA car price is always the cheapest, some even more cheap than their original country but their maintenance for car is way too high. Which is why many USA citizen have their own bengkel for self personal maintaining purpose. Oil price there also are crazy. But yea they can afford it since their rakyat is so rich. It not even fair to compare Malaysia and USA situation in 1st place.

Honda - USD64b
Toyota - USD255b
Proton - RM3b

If you are a less educated person read this -> The size of market capitalisation indicate the size of the company.

Meaning, the big company can employ the best engineer, the best designer, big fund for R&D, big fund for market exploration and etc.

For those Prtn basher, looking at the size of company sure u know, Prtn did the best they can for customer.
Please be mindful if you want to make comparison.

It's really unfair to compare the three companies, but take a look at the cars Proton produces, it's not that far away comparing the specs and quality. Which is really a good job.
