Rooting is VERY safe. It will not delete any data and will not harm your phone. The chance you will brick your phone I would say is one in several million. As long as you know how to follow instructions , you will be fine. Make sure phone is at least 70% charge before trying to root. It just take few minutes to do it

Stunner 1.4.19 downloading , another 10 mins to go !!

Hi. I am a new user of SGN- been using it for less than a month.

I am a heavy user but found that charging my phone 2 or 3 times a day quite a hassle. So I installed CPU Spy and BetterBatteryStats to find if there is any battery drainer apps. The thing is I dunno how to read those 2 report. Can anyone help me?  icon_question.gif

I'm the same as you, heavy user, if you really need to find out the culprit, you have to test and test and test. First thing first, 3 user apps is keeping your device awake the most, Juice Defender, Wecker 11 and Data reporter... if can try uninstall all 3 and test for one day. Your awake time should be slightly more than your screen on time, then you should have good battery life. Anyway, if you normally have screen on for 3-4 hours, basically your battery can only last you 4-6 hours, so there's nothing much you can do except to get an extended battery or external battery charger...

You can also follow the tips below on battery saving :

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1600691

Lastly, if you don't want to do all these, get a good extended battery... that's your best bet, should double your usage which means you need to only charge once a day at night... I'm using one currently.
