QUOTE(Gen @ Jan 14 2013, 11:52 AM) Hi, any gamer here using windows 8 and experiencing laggy issue? the power options i have set to high performance, playing Diablo 3 and switched graphic to High, but still experiencing some laggy.. Am using Windows 8 on my V3-571G. No lag issue. You can try solving your issue by going to nVidia Control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Set Graphics processor: nVidia high performance

I'm not so updated with the offers for the latest V3-571G, so I can't help you with that. But I can suggest that you head from store to store at Digital Mall and/or Low Yat Plaza for the best offer . Anyway, the V3-571G does run rather hot under average load, i.e it can reach to over 80C easily at times. It should not be suffering overheating issues though.

I a V5 and then switched it to the V3. Forked out an additional RM1000+ but so far am happy with it. I pumped in another 8GB 'cos I bought that with my V5.
Anyway, I wanted to know - anybody upgraded the 1TB to SSD? Or anyone upgraded their hdd to SSD?
I can feel the i7 is a bit warm. Some more with a 4GB graphics card.
My favourite thing about my laptop - it's the screen! the matte full hd screen is so lovely.

Mine has a 120GB SSD from Intel. Definitely a must have addition to the laptop unless you require storage space, though external HDDs can alleviate that problem easily. And yes, the V3-571G has a GPU with 2GB of VRAM, not 4GB. This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Mar 13 2013, 04:43 PM

Old model maybe, but not the new one. V3-571G now has a Full HD Screen and a 730M with 4GB Discrete Ram.

Now I feel so tempted to upgrade, and feel a little cheated considering that I paid the same amount for less .

The reason why so many are considering IPS screen vs the standard TN screen is because IPS screen has
1. Better pop to the colour (i.e you feel the colour much more 'alive') 2. No shifting when you change viewpoints.
I would say that it is really hard to discern the difference between the two, even with using the same wallpaper as I looked at it.
Again, I also believe there is no use comparing the Y400 (of which the GT650m only needs to drive a lower resolution) to this V3 which has to drive a full HD screen. That said - I've been playing Skyrim on the notebook, and so far, so good.

The system also comes with Optimus, so your drivers all must be Optimus aware, if not it will default to Intel HD 4000.
