Got secure mesh means no need grill bro.

Its a cosmetically more pleasing alternative.

Problem I have is..... house will have a LOT of glass sliding doors and windows.... if just put on the door.. it will look darker... how about the windows? If put entire house I bankrupt.... (not to mention small window u do mesh + glass looks dumb).

Thinking to change to security glass (blast proof stuff with wire means inbetween 2 layer of glass), then tint it darker to match the colour of Mesh+Glass so that the entire house's glass door/windows looks uniform.

But break in normally won't break the glass. Too much attention. They go over your frame, lock and joint. This type of breaking is much more quiet.

Darken the glass is ok.

I will just use alarm sensor or a simple grill with easy detach in quick.

1. Joint, always have an internal ones. I have seen people with security back door.. but the hinges is OUTSIDE. Cannot brain that.

2. I dont like easy detach grill, security concern.

3. I dont like grill, aesthetic reason, dont like my house looking like a prison.

4. Alarm. Thats the thing, over sensitive and it goes off every other day and your neighbour will start ignoring it. But my house is farily close to the security guard house, hope they will atleast take a look when it goes off. Oh and put some movement activated flood light. That helps alot.

If you don't like grill, just the alarm will do. Your area already have guard.

Change those vibration sensor to magnet switch. Put a fiber net for mosquito and magnet switch on it. That won't be easily trigger false alarm. If want secondary layer, put a motion sensor in the area.

This is what I have done. Don't bother to put on grill after change the window. I too hate the grill like prison.

Ofcourse can break.

Even bank vault can break.

The trick is to make your house a less desirable target compared to your neighbour's. cool2.gif

Still No need to be expensive like 10k for a door, practicality is more important

The cost is not exactly bank breaking.

And its very practical, you can open the glass door to let the air in... and the mesh will stop bugs (mosquito) from coming in. Aedes is a very serious problem in our country.

+1. This is the actual reason why I am looking at Mesh Security door. I stay in a condo, with full whatever security tiers so security is really not my main concern. I would like to be able to open my door and let the cool air from outside to flow in, minus the bugs and mosquitos. Unfortunately mesh stainless steel is 4 times more than normal grilled gate. Just hoping if there's a cheaper one/brand around..
