QUOTE(jagadis @ Jun 5 2013, 11:14 AM) I get it... I should watch my diet first. However, I would like to get more serious. Hence, the need for supplements. Not going to increase the intake of supplements. In fact, I don't want to depend too much on it. I just need advice on what kind of supplements I need. A good multivitamin, and extra sleep. Thereafter the common ones you'll be looking at, dependent on your lifestyle would be (in no particular order) caffeine, creatine, whey, BCAAs, fish oil.

Your daily primary source of protein is soy and soy products? If that's the case goodluck and GG, it ain't healthy, far from meat eaters. So much for being a vegetarian.

QUOTE(durianhead @ Jun 7 2013, 10:40 AM) Alien9 is right for the weight gainer. I'd suggest making the switch from weight gainer to a normal whey protein source and just consume more carbs. However, I do think that for vegetarians, whey protein is going to be their primary source since it is the most feasible source of protein for them. This is good stuff for everyone (and suitable for vegetarians and vegans). However it's gonna be significantly more expensive than whey. It's a healthy alternative to soy protein if it's gonna be a primary source of protein for vegetarians. http://www.vibranthealth.us/puregreen-prot...regreen-proteinhttp://www.vibranthealth.us/images/stories...t/PGP_flyer.pdf

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 7 2013, 09:59 PM) even the Americans know amazon is not trustworthy when it comes to buying supplementation. In terms of? Genuine products? If in terms of order fulfilment, if it's labelled "fulfilled by Amazon" then it should be fine. Not directly at the mercy of the seller. And pay via PayPal, as you can always file a dispute and retract the payment (on valid grounds).

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jun 8 2013, 09:38 AM) Most sellers in US won't want to risk their reputation for some minor error. If there's a problem with your order, usually they will try their best to fulfill it to the best. Thus, not much complaint, unless you are getting it from those individual seller, then prepare to kiss your $$ goodbye if there is any issue. Well I still don't wanna be the rare case where you can sometimes see in the customer reviews. That's why "fulfilled by Amazon" which is amazon being an extra intermediary between you and the seller would come into my decision making process if two sellers are closely similar in price. And amazon would be fine for direct payment via cc. Otherwise for other individual ecommerce sites I'll try to use PayPal wherever possible as it's also an extra intermediary and you can dispute the payment if things go wrong.

Am planning to buy this vitamin as I guess it's pretty value for money and healthy, and bb.com has the cheapest shipping option available afaik. Planning to get a total of 4 packs (due to sale, technically paying for 3 only + 1 free). http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/newchapt...-one-daily.htmlAny idea if vitamin quality will deteriorate from shipping? We're talking about average 4 weeks to a possible 9 weeks here, from the US to Malaysia, over varying temperature and environment. Any opinion on this? And how about the dreaded customs clearance. Probably split into two shipment, and pay extra US$ 7 more to solve the issue? Opinions appreciated. Edit: Note that it's a whole food vitamin (food derived) unlike the regular vitamins we see on the shelves. This post has been edited by DT1: Jun 15 2013, 10:40 PM

QUOTE(kubuk @ Jun 15 2013, 10:37 PM) Don't think vitamin will denature at a normal temperature even if its exposed to sunlight. Don't think there will be any problem unless it's expired. Expired vitamins are harmless but doesn't pack any nutrients whatsoever. You're good to go. How about the fact that it is whole-food natural vitamin instead of the regular synthetic ones? Forgot to mention this just now.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 15 2013, 11:03 PM) most of the imported food items are shipped this way as well, if u want to worry, it's endless. Gee, thanks.. Now awaiting iherb's reply on whether they're able to price match bb's. Their overseas shipping are now on par or even lower than bb!

QUOTE(lanusb @ Jul 18 2013, 09:50 AM) wondering any amway users here? got a fren recommend me amway product, but i am not sure the effectivity of the supplement, anyone can help suggest a good amway supplement to fight high colestrol & high uric acid? my blood test recently showed borderline high on colestrol and uric acid, so I want to take some precaution with amway supplements The problem is with your diet as a whole. Let me make a rough guess: quite significant amounts of refined sugar in your diet (including any sweet beverages), lots of refined carbs too (e.g. biscuits, bread, noodles), and lacking in vegetables and fruits.

QUOTE(lanusb @ Jul 18 2013, 11:11 AM) DT1, yup diet already changed already, previously too much red meat, insufficient fruits&vege, and too much carbonated soft drinks,, also high salt processed food can recommend a good type for Amway vitamins? which should i get? so many brands and model Something that would give you a good variety of nutrients, e.g. multivitamin. Personally, I wouldn't go for Amway though, as I consider it expensive (in terms of value for money versus other better products out there).

Where do you guys get your caffeine pills from at a value for money price? Please recommend a seller.
From what I know you can get 100% pure caffeine powder, pharmaceutical grade. That being said you can't get a 100% pure caffeine pill as they need to add stuff in it. Prolab's ingredient list doesn't look too evil, for an affordable price.
I usually go for the sugarless 2 in 1 instant coffee mix but I'm pretty sure the 'creamer' and other additive ingredients to instantize it is slowly killing me. The other option would be to buy really good quality highlands coffee beans but that's expensive. So caffeine pills would be much safer for now, a necessary evil I would say
alien9 Do you have any idea? I recall you did consume caffeine pills quite recently, from a post of yours.

QUOTE(gn9746203 @ Jan 4 2015, 02:21 PM) First of all everyone has its own way ok ? I work till 8-9pm everyday yes everyday .... and I did mention my cooking is bad .... when I mean bad I mean really bad ... Do you know I work long term in china ? Man you have to check the food here ... The food market here (pasar) .... China? It's better than Malaysia in terms of food availability, choices, and even pricing. If you're not comfortable with the wet market, there's Tesco, Carrefour, Walmart, etc. !
