guys, is there any way I can get a samples of Scivation Xtend? Thought of buying it but I don't want to spend something that doesn't work much for me.
*
How do you determine whether it "works much" for you? It's just BCAAs.

It is an intra-workout, which means that it will help during the workout. Same as pre w/o. Some person will gain the energy from it but some doesn't. I want the BCAA and also the 'energy' from it.
*
I see. By the way, there's no carbs in xtend.

Do you happen to know what's the best source of carbs for post w/o? Glucose polymer?

From what I've read, Waxy Maize is a good post w/o. A complex carb yet very fast digesting.

Any links to credible dosage recommendations?

just found out some info about Waxy Maize.

Seems like maltodextrin / dextrose would suffice for the average person.

Now probing whether they're best consumed on their own or mixed.

Yeah i was looking for some reviews bout this also...

Well I am looking to sell my tub. I just took one scoop.

I absolutely dislike the taste, which is similar to those super cheap chocolate cookies.

I'm gonna get myself dymatize elite whey for daily use and platinum hydrobuilder for post workouts with my marathon training and see if there'll be any obvious improvements since it has like 30g protein, 13.5g bcaa, 5g creapure, 2g beatine, micronized AA and enzymes in just one scoop shocking.gif
*
You can get yours from me if you want. I got it from BB.com so it's cheap. I happen to dislike the taste.

1x 4lbs casein
1x 90 caps sleep enhancement supp
1x 1.5lbs green powder
1x 1lbs whey blend
2x 0.62lbs bcaas

It's brand new, so I'm gonna sell it at my cost, minus the one scoop that I consumed.
Gonna be cheaper than any you can find in Malaysia.

4lbs tub, Rich Chocolate Flavour

ah thanks for the info. Not worth it to get whey alone. If whey + other supps then it can be considered
*
Somewhat true. But 44USD is caused by the big 4lbs tub. Otherwise it'd be much cheaper.

Froze my tub of fish oil capsules to preserve freshness and prevent from rancidity. It's all opaque now.

Just wondering if the quality of the oil deteriorates from freezing?

They should still be fine. Looking opaque is just what happens when oil freezes, AFAIK.
*
Yeap. But there's one exception though. Apparently if the epa & dha content is higher than the normal oil, it won't freeze/turn opaque.

Anyway I was just concerned whether freezing will reduce or eliminate its efficacy, since heat will deteriorate the quality... Can't find a definitive answer online.

Scivation also helps in boosting ourself during weightliffting, am I right? Planning to take it with creatine nod.gif
*
Yes. And don't make the mistake of purchasing any other supps for now. Though you can buy green powders (with prebiotics) if you have the extra cash. I'd place this before xtend and creatine. Few months down the road with proper training you can consider things like fish oil and whey if you need them, by then you should know well enough.

LOL @ Low Fat UHT milk.

Next time get from the fridge section, fresh/full cream whichever is cheaper.

If you don't have a fridge at home to store then just get full cream UHT.

How do you convince ppl that herbalife's products are overpriced and suck? Im freaking sick of these herbalife promoters.. lots of my friend believe them too
*
It's a good start for lazy people.

Meeting the right Herbalife coaches is much better than being a couch potato, a skinny fatso, or a heart-attack case to be. And by 'right coaches', I mean those who actually call you often to monitor your progress, hear your complains and try to find solutions to them, motivate you in various ways gained through experience, all these in addition to counselling you on how to progress towards eating RIGHT, and organizing free weekly total-body workout meetups with guidance from trainers that are in good shape. And, there's always a 30-day money back guarantee, hassle free. The number of coaches actually practising all these at once, I believe, are outnumbered by those trying to earn a quick buck regardless of your health progress.

Of course, the main product, i.e. the protein shake, is significantly overpriced and loses out in value per $ in comparison with many other products out there, and also we don't really need a protein shake anyway if we know how to manage our own diets. But that's business anyway, many things we don't really need but we pay for. However, at least by meeting the right coaches, the health status of many are improving. Well, the coaches that I know are achieving this.

So, personally, it's a business model that I won't go into due to personal preference. But I wouldn't go all out and bash it as my personal friends are trying to make an HONEST LIVING out of it. And by honest living I mean actively practising all those that I've mentioned above, truly caring for their clients, and not having the attitude of trying to make a fast buck.

What's everyone's recommendation on pre-workout? Thinking of trying one out for myself smile.gif

Some time ago it used to be White Flood or Jack3d. Not sure about now.

Personally shifted away from supps to perhaps just a strong cup of black coffee, and BCAAs sometimes.

So you could find something with BCAAs + caffeine.

totally agree with you both. Only taking creatine right now. Occasionally some type of protein powder if i feel im running behind on macros, or too lazy to cook/eat.
Just had some extra cash lying around so thought i might treat myself tongue.gif
Coffee just doesnt have that kick that makes me want to lift something stupidly heavy :/

In that case you could give this a try.. Having 20% off on the 45 servings http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mt/neurocore.html

Or this http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/drivensports/craze.html

Or more commonly brought up would be White Flood, Jack3d, SuperPump, Xplode.

But please try at your own risk. brows.gif
