There are too many things that need to take into consideration to build a line. Like soil condition, underground/overground, land acquisition, location, funding and etc etc. If not mistaken our 1st MRT line will be completed by 2016 and they need half year for testing the train.

Not many country can compare with china as china can build a MRT line in just a few years time.

Furthermore This Sg Buloh-Kajang line is consider quite long with 50km+ for this line and 30+ station. If u look at Jakarta's MRT which only have 15km + 13 station…. Also Singapore takes longer time to build a line than us. nod.gif

Want to ask you about the construction at Leisure Mall Station. Why is there a parallel track build on the EcoCheras side?
*
That could be the siding for trains.

The guideway by the side of the road is for a siding track.

The Taman Mutiara Station will have side platforms, on both sides of the guideway running above the median of Jalan Cheras.

Having good rail is good but you need a lot of busses to bring people from the station to homes.

I believe RapidKL will reroute their fleet of buses significantly to function as feeder once MRT is completed.
