The term ori is quite misleading as AP set also is original manufactured by Samsung. It should be called SME set and/or AP set

I am using AP and also SME set.
Why suddenly all these queries about Ap sets
There is nothing wrong buying AP set except warranty will be handle by your seller. Samsung Service Center will charge you servicing fees and spare parts replacements if you go directly to them
Infact I would say past 3 years 80 % of my smartphones/tablets are AP , mainly because I can get it faster and secondly I root it within days - so warranty is never an issue with me
I would suggest if you buy AP - buy it from seller with a shop not from those kiosk sellers who are actually another few parties down the line. If you have problem, they will pass back to A who could pass it to B and probably C than to actual distributor.
And frankly I have purchased both Ap and SMe sets of SGS II, Note, Galaxy tab and personally I find build quality of AP sets is generally better. I once bought a UK set of HTC Touch Pro - its build quality was different and very much better than SIS set - it is very obvious

Wow..!! ICS on GNote is way better than official ICS on SGSII. I feel reluctant to flash ICS on my GNote as i found ICS on my SGSII didn't bring any different except its UI. But now i feel much better using ICS on my GNote. Cant wait for the official one :-))

Added on April 10, 2012, 8:09 pmJust little update...... after i change my kernel from abyssnote 3.6 to 3.9 i felt my batt drain faster using Rocketrom v22 and my phone easy to get hot..... just dun understand why

walao 1 month only.. dun root it on ics yet lor.. else void warranty.. wait for the samsung launch on ICS only we upgrade on our GNote.. i do think tht 1 wont void d warranty.. i'm waiting for samsung ICS..
