I see... looks like chrome is only compatible with ICS and I'm still on GB. Still reluctant to switch to ICS though..

One step at a time bro..
For regular user, nothing much is improved in ICS..
but for developer and advance users, it's a door to new possibilities.. more things to do..

I know, it's a KSA firmware, meant for middle east. Anyway, it sucks not to have ICS yet on i9100.
*
ICS already available on i9100 long time already only not in Malaysia.

Hmmmm... really? I'm not sure about that... but it's always better to flash a newer rom for the bug fixes and stuff that new roms normally have eh?

I'm in no hurry to jump ship. No time to mess around the phone... GB is uber stable anyway... maybe ics seemed smoother in transitions...

Far from truth. New ROMS released in a rush, will gives more problems than old ones. I'll rather have a working ROM
with 100% everything working than a new ROM with "advanced features" but broken with many teething problems.

Newer rom doesn't guarantee good quality. Depends on developers seriously...Like checkrom is good but really takes forever to release. Some dev release, we becOme white rat, and they give updates from the errors or problem we complaint. So newer is not always better smile.gif

in UK, unlocked S2 gets ICS only after all the locked S2 from various telco get the update, their rational is that they want to ensure unlocked S2 works on all network..

in Malaysia.. probably they hold on the release of ICS for non G so they can roll out together with G once it's ready.. to avoid confusion?? just my 2 cents :/

Not really batt friendly, but you can try out AOKP roms to see if you like the extra added function to CM9. Other than that its either back to samsung rom or MIUI.
