Component set? I actually have a quite decent setup my dad inherited to me already - not too sure what is what but I've got. Focus is on the back - for the front I have two tweeters and two mid-range ones, what you call them I'm not too sure.



Just that recently one of the tweeters died out & I was thinking of swapping it out for a new pair. Since you said I could get a component set from around 100, do recommend me a good pair of tweeters - I don't mind spending around 150-300 for a decent pair!

what do you mean by "focus is on the back"? you mean the tweeter spoiled is on the back or front?

and no, component set for around 600-700 TOP UP rm100 from your existing rm500 budget

however if tweeters is your only focus, i believe you can get it for cheaper price. perhaps you can look up howie and see what kinda solutions he can offer.

The pic above shows my rear setup - not too shabby I guess? It's only the front tweeters that I want to switch out. How much would that cost around?

like i said, if you're willing to top up a bit you can get an entire component set, or go on a budget and just replace the tweeters

tweeters alone probably less than 100-300 i believe

Howie sold me these mysterious unbranded tweeters which are comparable to my old Dynaudios. Unbelievably good tweeters.

But they are a little more than the "RM100 - RM300" price range Quazacolt recommended. Actually a lot more. But well worth the money.

SQ = sound quality? This used to be a driver's car for us to sit behind and relax one hahah.

Any recommended brands/brands to stay away from? I read the brands topic in the forum but just wondering if there is any that I should know about.

yeap sq = sound quality.
there's always room to change if you're becoming the driver yourself heh

as for brands, way too many brands to stay away of, or stick towards to.
additionally there are some brandless budget equipments/gears that are quite decent too as izso mentioned.

best if you can do some research urself/ask around, then post up specific brands for us to comment

What brand/model do u recommend that cost around 2.5k to 3k? Most important is the bt (my cap ayam right now the bt is very crap. people cant hear Me clearly.) better if the hu having gps also.

if u wan gps with bt in a small branded box, u can get blaupunkt..screen is 6.2" but i tell u it's really nice after u see it by urself..

if u dunwan gps, then get a pioneer will do..it offer the best features..

I want to upgrade my stock HU and interested with pioneer HU.

Question is, what is the major difference between these 3? Since when I compare the spec list, all the same except the mixtrax in 5 series and motorized flap face in 9.

all 5 series to 9 series are identical, just the features a bit diff....so find the 1 that fit ur requirement, bt, motorize and etc....but if u are aware, local set are 2 years warranty..ap set are 1 year warranty by seller in overseas, not pioneer

Decided to buy DEH-5450SD. However I realize that the AUX in is in front, not in back....

I'm planned to use my phone (android) as source using 3.5mm jack through the AUX input. and maybe want to use USB to charge my phone as well

Is it possible to combine both through USB and charging function using custom cable with 1 male USB === 1 Female USB + 3.5mm jack? So I dont need to plug any cable to HU's AUX input.
