Active setup , mid range weak

Upgrade amp. Those are good speakers. But 60W RMS into a speaker with nominal 70W handling with a peak handling of 140W...the extra power from a more powerful amp gives it more dynamic range.

Little experiment that costs you no money to test is to bridge the alpine to power the midrange, and use HU to drive the tweeters.

That way you’ll know for sure.

Hey guys, I have a Saga FLX that I'm looking to replace the headunit for bluetooth.
Looking for single DIN units i think, but can do double too since there's some space at the bottom (that's used for AUX in and USB now).
However the placement of the HU area, don't think it's suitable for a touch screen anyway.

Any recommendation? Budget around RM200 only i think..

- My ride: Myvi EZi 1.3 (2008)
- Prefers SQL but more towards SQ (i.e. 65% SQ, 35%SPL)
- File format/medium used for my source: Mainly bluetooh from iPhone using Spotify.
- Music genre: Pretty much listen to everything.
- Budget: Around 500
- Setup type preferences: Without amplifier / subwoofer. But will consider subwooder if needed and fits the budget.
- Other requirements: Prefer to use speaker with 'good' bass output without the need of subwoofer in the trunk. Need recommendation on bluetooth-enable head unit (currently still using the stock one) and a good speaker sets to go with it.

Appreciate the recommendation. Thanks!

Hey guys, looking for a good double din android auto system. Ideally one that supports wireless android auto connection but I'm ok with wired if it is superior in other areas.

My ride: Myvi 1.5 SE "Icon" 2015
Prefers: SQ
File format: Mostly Spotify high quality streams
Music Genre: All kinds, also podcasts and audio books
Budget: RM3k

Other requirements: If can fit within my budget, was thinking of adding a reverse cam as well. However, this is optional.

1. know the size
2. know the price
3. know the sound improvement level
4. know the installation skill
5. know the tuning skill

final advise, do not be greedy. setup without amp do not work well with expensive speaker / high requirement speakers. the more numbers you saw on the box, the worst it will be.

my current set up:
- kenwood headunit
- epsilon 4ch amplifier rated for 60w x4 (don't know real or not)
- edifier rw8 underseat subwoofer
- audison apx 6.5 coaxial as rear door speakers

here comes the problem, I mess up my front speakers (I think), I have adams digital 2.25" full range speakers, china 1.5" tweeters with crossover and epsilon midbass speakers without crossover.

actually i think they sound good but the audio shop guy keeps saying the front speakers are noisy. what that actually means?

i asked around, maximo ultra are selling for 1300 including installation but this shop if offering me 9XX. i doubt it is fake because the stock is from autocraft. anyway, for 1k budget there are so many choices around. please recommend.

i appreciate if anyone can demo my car and give their honest opinion.

I think you might be the 1st owner of Edifier RW8 here.

What's your review on this underseat subwoofer?

very good. not overpowering when listening to acoustic, the guitar plucking feels just right, i dont say sound just right because i feel the bass haha.

but for bass heavy song then you need to turn up the subwoofer volume and bass boost then your chest only will feel the bass thump.

but, watch out because it has no remote control so you need to use your head unit, preferably with subwoofer pre out, like what i am using now.

My Ride : Honda Civic FB

I'm only targeting one head unit to install which is Sony XAV-AX200

I'm a sucker for head unit with volume knob and Sony.

I have seen plenty of offerings online but I prefer dealing directly with a physical shop.

Can any sifus here please recommend me contact that might carry this model and/or able to do installation (if no choice)

I'm based in Johor Bahru.
Appreciate your recommendations ! Thanks in advance !

- Your ride : Isuzu D-Max 2014
- Prefer SQ/SPL/SQL : SQ
- File format/medium used in your source mostly USB, format in mp3
- Genre of music you listen to : pop, rock
- Setup type preferences -
Budget - below 1.5k if possible
- Other requirements (if any : offline navigation, support for reverse camera, screen size 6.5” and above

Hi guys
Wanted to ask for recommendation for suitable head units for my Isuzu D-Max. Currently I’m using cap Ayam brand with gps (windows ce based), but it is starting to have problems with the screen as well as sometimes no sound from speakers when playing from usb (no problem with fm radio)

So planning to upgrade, but dont mind for cap ayam models again if features are good.

my suggestion will be get a front component and do some simple soundproof on the door..it might settle for around 1-1.2k. the rest of the money can get a trunk active sub. if you do not need a hu change.

Need some suggestion. Currently everything stock. Thinking on adding a dsp first. Price around 1k brand crossfire msia. Any recommend? Then either getting a 2 way component. Speaker n tweeter back to original place(door panel) . As city dashboard is not straight. So will affect sound staging if put front. But one problem is can dsp adjust the tweeter sound come from the front? Wouldn't want to do side panel for tweeter. Since no panel mean no full range speaker too right. Or any sifu here can give me better ideas?
