hi ICExperts, has anyone heard or tried this headunit brand and model Convex Android 10.1" Master Player? a car audio shop offered it to me for rm2k, with installation. Is this a good brand? Is the price reasonable?sad.gif

Thanks.

- My ride: Perodua Myvi 2018
- Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQ
- File format/medium used for my source: Android USB
- Music genre: EDM, Pop, RnB
- Budget: RM 700-800 (For Speakers) & around RM 1500 (For HU, is this amount too much?)
- Setup type preferences: Front Component set + Rear 2 coaxial speakers (Or any setup that you feel it's better than my preferences.)
- Other requirements (if any): HU that supports Wifi mirroring if possible. And not sure Android Auto makes a big difference or not.

Anyone tested Sony XS-GS1621C and Sony XS-GS1621? Is JVC KW-V930BW necessary or overkill?

My ride:
Perodua Myvi (MY2018, 1.5H variant).

- Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL:
Not sure, possibly SQ.

- File format/medium used for my source:
256kbps AAC sourced from iTunes Store, audio from Youtube app /
iPhone X, standard Android phone.

- Music genre:
Pop, hip-hop/rap, R&B, alternative (basically top 40 stuff).

- Budget:
RM 1500-1800 for HU, speakers I'm not sure. Total shouldn't exceed RM 2500.

- Setup type preferences:
This one also I'm not sure, maybe just replace the existing stuff in the car without additional hacking if possible.
For HU, I'm thinking either Sony XAV-AX200 or Alpine XAV-AX200.

- Other requirements (if any):
Must keep steering wheel controls.
I also want a set of cameras. I'm thinking 1 reverse, 2 front. Not sure how to proceed with this requirement.

- My ride: 04" Toyota Camry
- Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQ
- File format/medium used for my source: FLAC from USB - Pioneer Z5050BT
- Music genre: 80s - 00s english pop/CPOP/CantoPOP
- Budget: RM2k++
- Setup type preferences: Remain as stock as possible, just replace the speakers
- Other requirements (if any): Basically just looking to improve the audio system

Currently eyeing on replacing the front door's and rear's 6x9 with this:
https://www.mudah.my/JBL+GTO+963+6+X9+3+Way...er-44184978.htm

Replace the front tweeters that were built into the dash with these
https://www.mudah.my/JBL+3+4+19mm+tweeter+G...9T-59605967.htm

And finally a pair of these
https://www.mudah.my/Omni+beyond-63179897.htm

But the question is, how good are these JBLs? I only know that they are branded, but how does it perform against brands like Mohawk and Calibre etc, which I have surveyed mostly people who plays disco/nightclub music uses them for thumpy bass (and SPL) over clarity and soundstage

Thanks a lot

Hi All,

Need a simple clarification. I have a 2005 Toyota Fortuner still using the original system. I am thinking of updating it. but before that my rear and front parking sensors are no longer working so i am thinking of updating it something like the Mercedes Parktronic system. this is the first thing that needs to be done. My dad tends to easily get the car scratched.

on the 2nd stage I may also want to add a front n back parking camera

My question is what would i need to look out for with a new ICE unit to help ensure that there is enough power to go around and that it works with the parking sensor and parking camera? (Guess i will need to add the camera only after getting a new ICE unit right)

Hello fellow sifus, i'm planning to replace the stock HU for myvi 2018 with budget around RM1200, so far shortlisted:

1) SONY XAV-AX100 6.4" Double DIN (RM1158.36)
2) KENWOOD DMX7018BT 7" (RM1198)

Or any other suggestions for total noob like me? brows.gif
