1. Yes, within serviceable area.
2. No problem.
3. Yes, you can keep your house number provided the streamyx owner and phone number have the same owner. The rental fee will be waived but you will get separate bill from TM.
4. Sorry, there's no rebate for upgrading user.
5. Yes, non-standard installation need to discuss with your contractor during installation date tongue.gif

This lady/girl/supergirl really does take care of her customers! Even for FOC streamyx upgrade. biggrin.gif And she contacted me after sales when the technician reported a problem. But I guess I got the 8mb line anyways biggrin.gif

Hi,
Looking to upgrade my current Streamyx 512kbps package to Unifi VIP5 package...
Location : PJ Old Town

- What should I select for Type of application? New (Unifi)? Upgrade?
- What are the supporting documents that will be needed?
- Is the 60GB download cap per month been implemented?
- I will need to re-pull the line to back of my house, does the contractor that going to install the unifi offer such service too? (of cause with additional charges...)

You can PM me to brief me on more details.
Thanks.

Yes, its as simple as abc smile.gif my job is to make it simple.
You will feel "wow, my speed is faster now" and yeah, your line has been upgraded.

Your next billing will be in pro rated basis of 1mb and your upgraded package.

1. I am currently using streamyx 110. Can I terminate it and use Unifi 140?

2. can I maintain my land phone line as I need it for alarm system

3. I heard most people told me although the installation fees are free but as contractor pull the cable to living hall, most of time will be charged due to the distance from the unifi port to living hall is longer than the maximun provided. is that true? if yes, can I place unifi equipment in kitchen to save the installation fees?

Hi,

1. Yes, you can migrate to unifi VIP 5 which is RM 149/month.

2. Yes, you can maintain your current phone line and at the same time, you will get one free UniFi phone number as well.

3. Actually it is not counted from UniFi port (also known as Fibre Distribution Port - FDP). From FDP to your house (FTB), no matter how long it is, it's free of charge.
And the 15m standard installation is counted from FTB to BTU unit smile.gif which I think is more than enough for a house. (my house only used 8m)
But then, the TM contractor will advises you on the length before they start the installation job. So as long as you don't request for NON-STANDARD installation, it will be fine smile.gif
