QUOTE(toyama10 @ Jul 29 2013, 03:16 PM) That's the problem w/o a showhouse.....i think we should all demand for a detailed list of materials and brand of the freebies. Or even design. Problem is by the time your demand is met, the units all sapu clean clean already

If result is lousy, word of mouth can make their reputation goes down the drain in just 1 day..... This post has been edited by toyama10: Jul 29 2013, 04:12 PM

hi...i'm also a buyer @ Rimba. Regarding the quality of materials, i did specifically ask the salesman before i signed the contract. Although he could not confirm the specifics, he did say that the developers are themselves gonna be living there, and that this development is their signature project. As such, he told me that all the materials used will definitely be good and from reputable brands.

Based on the low and fair selling price as well as the heavy demand ( whether it is RR or KR1 or other projects ) by then, I doubt any developer would do so. If there is any developer would list down in details of the each freebies and it's brand, colour, materials and etc upon their launches, the project price most likely would be on high price like over RM 600 psf on normal prime location and RM 800-1000 psf on prime location.

QUOTE(orientaliew @ Jul 29 2013, 05:16 PM) seriously, you believe this salesman talk kah? I took it with a pinch of salt, but there's some truth to it, certainly. The penthouses at the top floors have all been reserved for the developers and not for sale.

From the layout illustrations avlbe, look like the rooms would be rather small even for the biggie type A and A1. What i see is that even for the biggie unit 1500sqft the effective area for the master room (exclude the wardrobe area) is about 3.3m x 4m, bed room 1 is 3m x 3.6 m and bed room 2 is 2.7 m x 3.78 m.
This is almost comparable to 8 kinrara layout no? Which in my opinion rather small based on the visit to the showroom. the living room is kinda big and not proportionate to the sizes if the room. would re be similar? What do you guys think?

Kindly note KR1 owners have already received their VP letter but only to find out parking lot will be charge under maintenance fees, owners were not even inform when making purchase.
Since Rimba is also under Kiara Resources, they may apply the same tactic.

QUOTE(noiseemunkee @ Apr 19 2014, 06:03 PM) Thanks xcess for the info. What are the responses from buyers? Any actions can be taken on this? Owners definitely felt cheated and since this is a grey issue, it's very difficult to build a case. We're deciding on the approach to sort out this issue or we have to pay for a year then abolish parking fees after the take over of JMB. I'll suggest owners of Rimba Residence to check with developer if they are charging parking into maintenance, if no, please ask for black and white.

Thanks excess. Will take the suggestion for discussion with other buyers.
Any other issues with regards to kr1 as lesson learnt? Are the freebies usable? Or need to replace?

Or need to replace? Bro, I just found out Rimba Residence is solely done by Knox Halim while KR1/2 is a joint venture between Kiara Resources and Knox Halim. As long there is a clarification on car park, there's nothing to worry. I'm a owner of KR2. KR1 owners just received their VP letters last Monday, I'm also curious on the quality and materials. Give it few weeks then only we can gather more info on quality feedback when owners perform their defective rectification.
