In US they have Active Eco which is different from our eco driving mode

The Elantra you drove should be a 2011 model year so don't have Active Eco. They added the function starting from 2012 model year.

Applied in US only. Spec vary across regions.

No ECM. The rear view mirror got no sensor and power light on it.

The one in front is tentative spec not official one. This is the official brochure which didn't mention anything about ECM.

Most of the spec listed are correct. So far i only spotted 3 item incorrect. Power fold mirror and ECM. another one is bonus for 1.6HS which have sliding center console.

I would like to see if you have it because my SA said the brochure will reach only on thursday.

Sonata, Tucson, SantaFe and Starex can get discount on different batched?

But still it does represent something. If it is useless then no point having the so called official fuel consumption.

I think they are trying to replicate the formula on Sonata. Give sunroof and 2 airbags only.

But the whole point of having official fuel consumption is not for you to compare the figure with your actual fuel consumption. It is to allow consumers to compare with other cars before making their buying decision.

But sales figure of a month can't really tell the whole story especially the car is CBU and not CKD. Just like the Passat which fluctuate a lot in past few months.

People are expecting the price to be similar with Forte. Many people still feel that Korean cars are not yet up to the standard to be a direct competitor with Japs so they need to be cheap.

That's why you can tell which company have more power. Not just Kia, even Cruze 1.8 oso can price at 99k. 308 like tat oso 118k only. Kia, Chevy and Pug all under Naza.

Elantra is 15k SGD more expensive than Forte in Singapore

But Forte also took more than 2 years to reach our shore.
September 2008 launched in Korea and reach here in November 2010.
