what's the place name of the 2nd pic? going taiwan next year!! hope weather is good by then!

depends wat time u go to taiwan, last year i went there around mid of March, for 1 week, about 2 to 3 days are rainy days.
i think the second pic is the "qing jing farm"... i guess only, never been there

beelze is correct, the first pic is 九份, the second pic is 清境农场, the third pic was taken in the farm.
Was having bad weather back then, one tip for you, snap fast if weather is not great.
The second pic was taken right after rain and right before it started to rain again.
I asked my wife to wait, let others go first, else I would regret. And then... rain again when we heading back.

im going in may.. think it's summer. hope can spend sometime shooting, going with family, scared they always rush here n there can't really take a proper pic

no choice then, u need to either inform them earlier on your need to take picture, or you will have to "hit n run" and make sure u get everything right in the shortest time interval... good luck!

Tell them you will walk by yourself. Make an agreement, "we will gather at here at when" (sometimes it just don't work because too many booth/interest things). Because of that, we went to telco and register local Taiwan sim card, so we could contact each other.

If you were to follow them, you will either missed shots or carrying bundles of items bought by them.
Do you believe if I were to tell you I held 5Dmk2 + 20-70mm f2.8L + flash shooting one handed in certain places?
Because my wife keeps buying souvenirs, takkan I call her sendiri carry?
So, if you carry a female tag, you have an advantage here, throw whatever useless items to other person.

*Edit: 24-70mm the infamous brick. What in my brain 20-70, must be 70-200mm kacau me..

This is what I carry on my last trip.. I did not bring my laptop cos it is too heavy...

D7000 + 2 x 8GB SD card

iPad3 32GB + Camera Connection Kit (SD reader)..

At the end of every day , I just import all the day pics into my iPad for viewing in larger screen and also act as a backup ...

I bring alone the Eye-Fi 4GB SD card to do auto image transfer to my iPad via wifi but it will drain the battery on my camera so I did not use it during the trip...

wouldn't the connection kit transfer only a lower resolution image from the card to the iPad?

im going to climb either broga hill or saga hill this weekend.

this is the first time i bring my camera with me while climbing, what should I aware and prepare for? i plan to bring my camera backpack with me.

hang my DSLR on my neck all the time seems like inconvenience for climbing?

probably already too late to advise...
but for broga hill, i heard from my fren, carry DSLR n tripod is ok. you can carry some filter with u as well if u r planning to shoot some nice sunrise.
torchlight is a must as u wil need to climb before dawn. other than tat, it should not be big issue. along the way there's nothing much to shoot, so u can keep ur camera in bag for protection. who knows when u wil slip n fall?
just go earlier and scout for a nice spot and setup ur tripod... and basically tat's it

I found this website about travel and those photos look nice too~ I think they are not copy photos from other but have their own photographer and take photo around! I think is nice to support support~ I found the titiwangsa shoot is awesome.. i tot of copy and share here.. but.. look like.. hving problem to copy tat..
