1. Your travel itinerary + gear
Went to Ferrari World at Abu Dhabi. Camera used is Canon G1 X.
Basically I'm working in Dubai, so I take a taxi all the way to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi (about 1 hour, 100km, cost around RM160)

2. Your travel experience
If you plan to visit here, buy the Premium Ticket. It's worth. Suggestion: reach around 10+am, park start at 11am. Ticket purchase start around 10.30am. Park facilities divided to 3 group: Kids, Family, Thrill. For youngster, try out all the thrills one when the park open. Then only go for the family one and follow by taking another ride on those Thrill-theme games... u can bring along anything, cos there's space for you to put your bags and etc everywhere.

3. Nice places for photo shooting
Well, if you are a Ferrari fans, or car racing fan... you'll find everything you need to shoot with.

4. Tips and skills for travel photography
Well, basically this is an indoor theme park, so you will probably need to bump your ISO high when shooting. There are performance show also, where you may consider shooting video throughout. 1 day is more than enough for all the photo shooting and enjoying the theme park.

5. Things to be careful or take note
Nothing much to worry about. Just enjoy the fun here! Take note it can be burning during summer.

6. Last but not least... share your travel photographs here

i don bring laptop during travel. My current practice is use a lot of SD card with small capacity (4 or 8 or 16GB).
But nowadays, you can use tablet to transfer files to other media or upload them to somewhere save... so I'm thinking of getting one tablet for myself

instead of suggest you a specific bag, i would rather suggest you to think first which type of bag suits you. Backpack bag, sling back or shoulder bag?
if you wan fast access to many stuff, sling back and shoulder bag is the way to go. if you wan to bring a lot of gears and other stuff with you and you can take your own sweet time changing lens and etc, backpack is more comfortable for all day use.

1. Your travel itinerary + gear
60D + 17-40 f/4L + Samyang 8mm Fisheye. some shots using Tamron 17-50 f/2.8

2. Your travel experience
Dubai is a nice place to visit, for a short period of time. wouldn't stay here for more than 1-2 weeks if i'm on holiday.

3. Nice places for photo shooting
Burj Al-Arab, Burj Khalifa, in the desert some nice landscapes.

4. Tips and skills for travel photography
carry light gear, all you need is a standard zoom / UWA + your camera. sun can be very very very hot (up to more than 50degrees in summer, and the sun is very very intense.)

5. Things to be careful or take note
here generally its very safe, most of the people will eye your gear but haven't come across any snatch thefts or heard of any

1. Your travel itinerary + gear
Paris with GF3+14mm F2.5

2. Your travel experience
Its my first time going to Europe as adult. Went before but was only 6.

3. Nice places for photo shooting
Should've cover more places but went to the famous spots instead. Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palaces, etc.

4. Tips and skills for travel photography
Travel light and enjoy your trip. It was my first Euro trip and I was too obsess to snap good pictures. Ended up I didnt cover alot of areas and my photos were too plain and common.

5. Things to be careful or take note
Beware of pickpockets specially on trains and tight places (streets).

Such a great photo, all the while i just using the normal and simple camera.

I would like to buy a new one, effect not far than the picture above. But I don't like to bring a big bundle while going out.

Hope the size is similar to the existing one (normal function).

Any suggestion? cool.gif

I've recently switched the micro four thirds and love the results. You can check out my travel sets in the following links where I shot most of the photos with a Olympus E-P2, Olympus kit lens 14-42mm and Panasonic 20mm f/1.7.

Some of them are shot with film but I've tagged them accordingly.

1. Your travel itinerary + gear
Taiwan 5Dmk2 + 24-70mm f2.8L + 580ex2 + Umbrella

2. Your travel experience
Not recommended for those who have weak hands/neck/legs, everybody asks me, "do you really need them?".
Straight to the point, why bother buying it at first? Because of passion.

3. Nice places for photo shooting
A lot of places but we lack of time, beware thought, certain places in Taiwan are "built" on mountain.

4. Tips and skills for travel photography
I am opposite with others. I travelled "heavy" but enjoy it. Simply ask them if you may take their photos if you are worry.
Take RAW, you can always edit them in case you messed up the photos.

5. Things to be careful or take note
Always check your belongings if you carry them at the back. I just simply throw my gears in school bag. Safe and easy.
