recently saw a wedding job that had an interesting side note, that the photographer MUST Shoot with lenses with smaller aperture number than f2.0 guess the couple likes super bokehness

QUOTE(tctham @ May 14 2012, 08:28 AM) once it's smaller than f/2.0, means zooms are totally out of the case.. seems like it's going to be a challenging wedding job? haha Yea... I only got 50 f/1.4 so cannot take d job lolQUOTE(amduser @ May 14 2012, 09:02 AM) Fully agreed. esp at 200mmQUOTE(Everdying @ May 14 2012, 10:07 AM) i think they just want to make sure the photog isnt one of those cheapskates who only own a kit lens maybe.. but I thought the general consensus is its the photographer.. not the gear? XD |

QUOTE(Everdying @ May 14 2012, 11:05 PM) lens hood wont help much as its hitting straight on. i've seen those kind of reflections before even when using a hoya HMC filter. just draw a line diagonally, the reflection is a mirror image of whats on the opposite side of it. best is to just remove the filter. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ May 14 2012, 11:09 PM) my sifu taught me not to use filters at all no matter how good it is, in studio settings cos all the lights there will mess up the images Oh. ok. hehe then no need to try dy Added on May 14, 2012, 11:10 pm nah, any aperture also can kena. QUOTE(tctham @ May 14 2012, 11:11 PM) How i wish i can get rid of the paranoia in me.. i kept thinking "what if shit happens" and i kept using filters.. only when i am taking some shots with weird lightings, or long exposure, or when sharpness is critical, i'll remove the filter.. else for day-to-day usage, i keep the filter on.. just in case.. hahahaha yea.. most common is finger prints! I always accidentally touch my UV filter! |
