Turn 1 and 2 is a good start. If you have transport to get around the track then can explore more laugh.gif
*
I doubt will have transport around the track for timetoattack, but should have for SuperGT.

D3100 has very little support in lightroom ... no live view tethering or camera control either  sad.gif
hmm ..let me see ... i'll try it out ...but so far, i did try with no preset applied (e.g: none) during import.  hmm.gif
ahh..i forgot to mention, this problem happens during my product shoots in my mini studio ... e.g: table/tent shoots with lights and flash. outdoor is a little bit better, but still im not always happy about the red tones once i import into lightroom. sad.gif

but i do read in some other posts/forums saying that nikon always like to saturate red colors/tones ... is it true?
*
Just tweak to your liking during post processing? Here's some of my shots with red in them, I did not tweak the colour channels.

Not preset, but Color Profile. By default, it should be using "Adobe Standard"; You can change to "Camera Standard" you will see changes in the colors, then there's "Camera Portrait" and other profiles such as "Camera Landscape", "Camera Vivid", etc.

Different WB also can alter the appearance of the color.

I not sure about that. but I usually turn it off because I feel image is punchier without the d-lighting.

C&C will be very much appreciated smile.gif

Yeap, D-Lighting actually adjusts brightness and exposure to compensate for highlights and shadows, making the image a bit more 'flat'.

so is it recommended to turn off D-Lighting when shooting RAW?

I doubt it affects your final image, unless you process it with ViewNX/CaptureNX.

Haha no worries! Hmmm I took over 2k photos, havent gone through them yet.. Some look soft cause mostly shot at f22..

Decided to bring an nd filter along tomorrow! Lol lets see how it turns out..

I just realize the cones and dividers are kinda distracting sad.gif
*
Yeap, try to avoid the cones and dividers. I seen some of pix taken by my friends, they did avoid most of the cones/dividers. Look for a better spot.

QUOTE(Agito666 @ May 20 2012, 03:37 AM)
what d900?  shocking.gif

hopefully D600 the AF speed side and AF point is better, dont make it like D3100 or D5100 =I
i mean entry level... make it at least better a bit...
if not it is a entry level body with FX  unsure.gif
*
Should be at least D7000 level of AF instead. =/

f22 look soft? everything should be sharp at f22 right? hmm.gif

i also shot a lot during GRA, around 500 pics, i filter on spot with this in mind

divider/cone covered body - delete on spot

out of focus - delete on spot

less panning effect - delete on spot

not dramatic - delete on spot

part of the car cropped/out of frame - delete on spot

that left me few hundreds pictures to choose the best one when i get back to my pc, that's what i do la for this kind of event
*
I remember last year Super GT, I only had a 16GB card for day 1 and day 2... fuh during Day 2 I was deleting pix as the event is going on... I think my delete button going to KO soon >_< LOL
