a win is good but i think that was a rather poor performance by the team. if we get through against benfica, we will face barca in the semi and with this kind of performance, we will be punching bag for them.

somehow, we are back to the the old chelsea. very very VERY slow in moving the ball especially in first half. 2nd, our midfielders are at total lost. all source of invention came from our defenders and that is really sad to watch. 3rd, wtf is RDM thinking putting mikel + meireless at DM? this fetish towards DM is one of the factor that i think contribute to the inefficiency of our midfielders. why? because there is a gap between the front three (mata-torres-ramires) and the rest of the team. nobody was there to plug the gap and float the ball when the marking is tight upfront. the introduction of lampard is necessary but it was already late.

we are lucky to get away with full points in this match when we haven't done enough. thanks to torres for the lovely assist. he was lively whenever he got the ball. he provide good chances to team mates but as usual, he did not receive any supply of ammunition.

it going to be busy schedule for the lads. RDM are still waits for the appeal results from the FA to rearrange the schedule.

RDM tried to slow the tempo of benfica game by puting 2 DM there, to drop back for defend since not a team successful to stop benfica from scoring at they home, so there is gonna create gap between midfield and frontthree.
It is not a good choice but it success.
