A very good statistic to show RDM rotation.
http://www.carefreechronicles.com/2012/03/...statistics.html

And, very interesting how RDM explained his squad 'rotation' policy.
QUOTE
'I was trying to select a team that could play a good game against Benfica and the same will happen tomorrow, considering the strengths and weaknesses of Aston Villa,' confirmed the Italian. 'It's not a question of how may players we change, you look at how they are, their level of fitness, and select a team.
'It doesn't mean whoever misses one game will be in the next game. I am happy we have almost a full squad to select from which will be important for the run-in for us, but every individual game we have to look at which players will be best.

From the press conference he did just now.

Meireles is likely to miss out, and BRANA IS BACK. Yes, awesome news.
I think Lampard and Essien will get the nods against Aston Villa.Or how about our Oreo? Not sure about the attacking side,RDM is giving us some great suspense! biggrin.gif

Smart finish by Nando..reminiscent of former himself..now i wonder, who will get a nod against Benfica..surely Drogba will be the one fresher but Nando surely put some performance lately doesn't he?
*
A true striker style of strike indeed. Great to see him not taking not more than 1 touch before shooting the ball. One touch, one strike. BACK OF THE NET! Nando smile.gif
RDM played Torres in Benfica first leg for reason, I actually think that RDM plan is to play Drogba against Aston Villa, and Torres on both Benfica legs.
But since Drogba is injured, Torres played and performed wonderfully well against Aston Villa.
In the first leg, Torres kept running in wide channels causing lot of problems to Benfica wing backs. Best example, look at our only goal. That goal comes from Nando pace on the flank. It creates space for the other players too. You can see Kalou or Ramires both have spaces when Torres is stretching the defense.
RDM explained, his team selection is according to opponent weaknesses. Torres are the man who can exploit Benfica weaknesses.
So many years of EPL experience, no, 3 match in a row, fatigue shouldn't be a problem to Nando since he already rested for quite some time.

Yet again, this proves how important Mikel is actually to our team. He gives Luiz freedom to become a sudden attacker and gives out some great passes with nobody marking him. As we know, Luiz is really good with his ball control and vision. I think Mikel-Luiz combination can be lethal and very useful for the future.
Luiz and Mikel, both are just 24 years old!

Whoa, I am actually ok with this ref, not because he gave a red card to opponent and a penalty to us, but he is still. okaaay-la. Lampard escaped some foul/yellow card though.Great penalty decision there. And that red card, you guys know that.

Hmm, we are playing, a more attacking counter attack game compare with our 3-0 valencia victory. It works for me, put your men in the defense and hit the opponent during the break.

Benfica was playing good, but their sore-loser attitude is no-no in higher stage competition like CL.
alright, i want to see goals!

kakakkaa.

Alright, barca next! That's very interesting duel. We have them in pocket last time, we even beat them when we don't have Roman. What else.
Mourinho said he thinks it won't be Real vs Chelsea in final, and we say,
Don't worry Jose, we will help you to win against Bayern in final.

COME ON.

Whoa, I fall alseep and we won.
DAMN. THAT TORRES STRIKE. GOSH. Why it doesn't go in! That's cracking volley.
Well, thanks god that we got the 3 points. Meireles and Essien combo isn't really working I'll say. We're not controlling the midfield at all.

ESPN is turning into a stupid media fxck.
Their Torres 'jokes' are not funny, it doesn't make sense, it has no real sense, it is just pure bias shit.
Saw lot from them already.

It's true, Sturridge is a gem, he's the shinning star in our team. But sometimes when he's trying to do too much, here comes the hater. Honestly, I don't mind Sturridge being selfish, but of course, some matches like.. err, sorry I couldn't recall back, when he's selfish and failed few attempts but still don't want to pass, that's too much and he should take the blame. A striker is selfish, you don't want to see a striker who doesn't shoot right? smile.gif
Sturridge is young, he need a good environment to grow up. Please stop hating Sturridge.

i think it all came down to 'decision making'. to shoot or to pass. i still remember the first season ronaldo was at man u, he just dribble blindly and then loose the ball while there are other option that he can choose besides dribbling. but, this guy learn fast and he manage to prioritize things that need to be done.

these are the thing sturridge need to learn. don't be like nani. imo, nani never learns and he keep making stupid decision. that is why he never steps into the gap that ronaldo left. strikers are meant to be greedy but sturridge need to balance it out. since this involve the way of thinking, only he can help himself to overcome the obstacle. another player that is good indecision making is messi. go into soccernet and see how many he scored and how many he assist. the assist he got is way more that xavi!
*
Nani and Sturridge vs Ronaldo is a very good comparison there mate smile.gif You got the phrase absolutely right, 'decision making'. Sturridge need to get matured, once he has that, he can be one of the best in the world.
Messi, hah, tongue.gif you know he's just too good to compare. drool.gif But statistic don't tell everything sometimes, everyone knows Xavi has better passing ability than Messi.

Hmm, and yeah,Leicester game was the one I was referring to, thanks for pointing it out smile.gif

I think we wasted too much time sticking with Meireles and Ramires. Ramires was poor today, totally out of frame. Sigh. Could've been sitting on the forth spot if we bring the 3 points back to home.

Here we go again. When Sturridge and Ramires both are no on form, we are dead meat. Left wing is always our weakest link, both flanks have no spark, then whole team playing like shite.

Thanks Wenger, we might see Benayoun back next season!
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/w...nce-to-the-team

And the key word: On the left wing! That's what we are lacking of. So far, we only have Malouda and Kalou on the left.Malouda is extremely poor and Sturridge is not comfortable on left. So with Benayoun coming back, that should be alright. I am a bit regret releasing Benayoun for a loan to Arsenal now sad.gif

Well, the twitter thing is a bit idiotic from him.
I am not sure that De bruyne is ready, maybe he needs more time just like Lukaku.
Personally, I would welcome Yossi with my both hands if he's willing to play for the team. Why throw a player out from squad who still can serve for the club?

That is. How on earth releasing so many players in one window. Your squad become ridiculously thin and you don't play a season long football with that squad. Players that I will be releasing are , Bosingwa(MUST) and Malouda only. Essien, Lampard, Cole are aging, but still would like to see them in our squad. They are still great players.

Gold colour, winning mentality!
Looks like a pretty decent jersey, simple, classy and elegant.

From that list, I would only want Modric(if he don't cost too much) ,Hazard and a rb(is cesar really that good?) to come.

I will definitely say no too all forwards, we have Torres, Drogba, Lukaku, Sturridge. Why do we need more forward? Wingers and right back are the one we REALLY need. Both are important, we must get at least one right back and winger.

Marko Marin signing is an interesting one. Now we have Lukaku, De bruyne, Sturridge, Ramires, Luiz, Marko Marin, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu and Mata.
Oh and Kakuta!
THEY ARE ALL UNDER 25 years old!
Wow! biggrin.gif Really interesting to see how these young players can develop.
Lukaku and kakuta might not really ready yet but I think De bruyne and Marin can compete for the first eleven place!
